December 22, 20214 yr Popular Post Welcome Luis. I'm not a woodburner myself (unless it's bonfires) but there are several here that are...no doubt they'll have experiences to share.
December 22, 20214 yr Popular Post Hi Luis, I do some wood burning but most of what I do is geometrical in nature to embellish my turnings. I primarily use an art form called Zentangle. If you're wanting to do portraits, animals, or even landscapes I suggest you check out Minisa Robinson's page. She is an amazing pyrography artist and does the bulk of her work with a fairly inexpensive Walnut Hollow wood burning pen. She has some very good instructional videos that I highly recommend. Do you have any equipment yet? If not, I will say I'm partial to Optima pens. I don't have an Optima machine but if I ever replace mine it will be with an Optima. https://www.minisapyrography.com/ https://carvertools.com/ Edited December 22, 20214 yr by Steve Krumanaker

December 22, 20214 yr Popular Post Welcome Luis. I will be no help to you but look forward to your participation. I believe there are some here who are into the same interests as you.
December 22, 20214 yr Popular Post Welcome Luis to The Patriot Woodworker. Happy you found us. You are correct that this is the place to share, exchange ideas, projects and have some fun along the way. Like @Fred W. Hargis Jr I don't burn wood either unless you count my failed projects but others have some experience in that skill. @Steve Krumanakerhas already provided you with some great feedback. Although he hasn't been here for a while, @DRAGON1 also does some great work IIRC. Maybe he'll stop in soon. Anyways, looking forward to seeing your work. We love pictures. So, let the chips fly...well in your case let the smoke roll.
December 23, 20214 yr Popular Post Welcome @luis. I do not do a lot of burning . Last year our club had Janice Levi from Texas do a hands on and demo and I was at both. I did a video of the demo for the club which I think you will find interesting.

Anything to get into the woodworking world is worth doing. Dip your toes in, come up with a good plan, take your toys to craft shows and farmers markets and see how they do. I would never discourage anyone from starting a woodworking adventure, it's fun, healthy, and if you have the right formula your items will sell.
