...Almost forgot it was Friday Folks! 

 

...Well now that I've remembered that,... it seems like there's something I do on Fridays. 

 

...While I try to remember what that is. ...What's on Your Weekend Agenda? 

 

 

 

Raining pretty good here right now and supposed to keep it up til about mid afternoon.  So I don't have a lot on my agenda for today.  Supposed to be warmer and sunny tomorrow, so that will be yard work if it's not too windy.  Have a bunch more pruning to get done.  Also working on my truck.  Pulled the rear (seats) out and trim on the rear of the cab.  Plan to replace with some type of insulation and flat surface to make the space useable for whenever we use the truck for fetching or traveling.

Wet and kinda crappy.  Arrived at work, boss is back from vacation, and in good mood.  After yesterday's disaster I had braced for impact. Especially when I walked in with my arm in a sling.

 

My apprentice will be working alot harder next few days.

Whoa, there - that sounds like management!

In this mess is a battery, battery charger, a tire and a jump box. Or I should say what is left of them.

 

I have no injuries to limit my production. Old ages takes care of that.  After the last few weeks of riding herd on workers, we're finally getting back to the shop. We've got 6 more rafters on that house in the shop to remove. Then, the stud wall can come down. The next major step is insulation against the coming summer heat. But, we're a good ways from that step. After insulation comes the plywood wall sheeting and, finally the wiring. Thinking of THHN, unless @Artie dissuades me.

We're hoping to be up and running by mid Aprii. But, who knows?

 A couple of things to do to get my table saw useable again and then move onto the router table & install the lift.

Have a helper for next few weeks. Friend's son wants to get his feet wet doing woodworking. As my arm is out if commission for week or so, yeah I'll take some help.  

Completed the tenons on stretchers on the ends of the table. Now to sand what is ready and glue it up. Next after that is to cut and glue up the 8 inch pieces for back of drawer box and then some shelves. Who knows I may be done with this by spring yet.

As I am standing around, some quality drooling time is in order.

 

 

Gene, just curious...why THHN?

@Fred W. Hargis Jr, everything will be in conduit and, Romex is to difficult to pull and, a hassle to strip back for each switch, outlet, J box. Plus, I can get by with a smaller dia. conduit. Not that I'm cheap or lazy....

I might be wrong, but I thought if wires went into conduit, it had to be THHN.   Or maybe it's that you can't strip off the outside of Romex and use that because the individual wires are not labeled.    I have put some Romex in conduit, but only for a few feet as it came down a wall surface mounted or underneath open joists to protect from impact.

Things are quiet here.   I am putting some varnish on a couple of projects so dust-making is limited right now.

 

I might be starting to put together a presentation for the wood club on measuring and marking tools, as soon as we decide on the rough content.

Well Keith, I didn't know about that requirement. Additionally, even #12 wires are stiff enough to discourage me from wrapping them around the outlet or switch screws.

That is the way you should do it where I live.   I believe heat build-up is the issue otherwise.

Never met a mouse that could chew into conduit, but have seen sections of romex stripped clean.

Never could figure out why there were no electrocuted bodies nearby. 

That is the code, THHN in conduit...the part I was unaware of was Gene' plan to use conduit.
