Popular Post Masonsailor Posted December 17, 2020 Author Popular Post Report Posted December 17, 2020 I finished one more turning today. The wife reminded me of someone I had forgotten. Oh well. Mad cow disease ? I found some glass rounds that we must have ordered a while back so I cranked out a pie stand. I’m continuing to use the black walnut scraps. FlGatorwood Posted December 19, 2020 Report Posted December 19, 2020 Yes, you have a nice lathe, much better than a Shopsmith. However, you always did exceptional work on the SS. But, they are not as steady as a regular lathe. Good for small spindles or something that is basically rounded. Longer spindles will vibrate after rounding. But, it is a good tool. Paul, I expect after your adjusting curve, you will only refine your talents and products. These pie/cake platters are stunningly beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Cal, Larry Buskirk and Gunny 3 Quote
John Morris Posted December 19, 2020 Report Posted December 19, 2020 Paul, the ice cream scoop in the original topic, how do you secure the scoop to the handle? Thanks Gunny, FlGatorwood and Cal 3 Quote
