After I got married, I learned the difference between curtains and window treatments-

About $100 a window

That's good Lew   and likely accurate to boot!

Just have to put the hinges back on and hang the door and I do call it "done".  At least until move in time, and window treatment time, and hang the TV time, and, and, and...:D

It was to create a new user on the computer and install all the shortcuts to make the program work plus  files we would be showing.

Had a similar problem after my laptop updated to the 2004 windows version. It didn't like my video drivers.

@lew sounds like it may be high time for a new laptop. ....  Just picked up some birch wood I'll be cuttin that up and making a blank today.  I'm thinking I'm going to be using my miter saw for the cuts since that is a bit more accurate than running it on a bandsaw for a straight cut.   That's the game plan for today at least.

Works fine now. Just a driver update. Simple fix that just caught me off guard.

That's fortunate at least.   My PC the drivers I have to download individually.  I've got Windows 10 home pro I've got a radeon AMD graphics card LOL.  The graphics card drivers can be a pain in some cases to update.  But it goes quite fast at least.

Good idea. I have my set so it doesn't update any hardware drivers from Windows updates. But this was the Windows 10 Pro version 2004 (Build 19041).

Practically like reinstalling windows from scratch and it reset almost all my settings.

Yep.  I hate Windows 10.  Hey, I'm back online and have electricity.  Her power chair ran down the day the electricity returned.  Let me bring everyone up to speed.  About 4 am Wednesday morning, the wind was howling.  We got the worst side of the eyewall of hurricane Sally.  At 10 pm CDT the evening before, our local weather man said that the winds were below 80 mph.  So, the normal person would think not a really bad storm.  At 0400, the winds were rattling windows, the front door was moving.  So, I opened the blinds to see if our weak pecan tree was moving.  It had shifted from leaning south to straight up.  With the winds, I checked my phone to see the local airport reports.  Winds in excess of 110 and it continued until about 0900.  When I saw the tree straight, I guessed that the tree was coming onto the bedroom.  So, I got her up and put her in her power chair.  Got her out of the room.  About 2 hours later, the tree eased down on the house and service lines.  The winds and rain continued.  Our neighbor's weather station measured over 20 inches of rain.  The tree did very little damage to the house.  A couple of shingles are a bit thin from the rubbing of the tree.  I choose to think that God was maintaining that tree to do no damage.  Even the service wires did not pull loose from the house.  It took 2 days to take the tree down.  It was a Elliot pecan.  Electricity was restored while the tree was being removed but it was not good as some of the electricity was going to the tree.  You could plug into an outlet in a room and the light would not work or you could turn on the light and the outlets would not work.  The stove top worked but not the oven.  Strange stuff.  Next morning, the electrical team returned and repaired the line and removed it from the tree.  Tree trimmers happy.  Me happy.  The tree was finally dropped and will be given to the local wood turners club.  Some really nice crotch pieces.  A couple measuring about 24 inches across.  Tree base is 24 and top of trunk is 18 inches.  Internet and home phone service returned about 1600 on Saturday.

Around town, many huge oaks down with some pines.  Gas lines and water lines (about 20 breaks) ruptured.  Streets blocked with downed trees, snapped power poles and downed lines of every kind.  The last couple of days, they brought in a giant Catepillar front loader like they use in gravel loading, moved tree pieces.  Some cars crushed under trees.  Some houses have trees inside destroying roofs and walls.  But all our family is well and safe and we are immensely grateful.

The only other thing that happened was the battery on the van decided to give up the ghost the day before the storm.  The gas grill had not been used in years and the o-ring that fits on the regulator to go into the gas bottle, decided it had enough.  So, now have a new battery.  Need to get some more gas for the generator and repay neighbors.  Going to clean my yard tomorrow and an elderly neighbor.  He has shoulder issues and not able so it will be a surprise for him.  We thank God for His blessings and pulling us through this Job experience.  Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts.

Went to get screwdriver out of toolbox drawer and the bloody thing was jammed by something all the way in back of drawer.  Removed upper drawer and offending screwdriver that got wedged.  :BangingHead:   Returning later to put back screwdriver I used I looked at the drawer closer and asked myself "WHY do I feel the need to keep 100 screwdrivers jammed into this drawer?"  :ChinScratch:  Emptied it and scaled back what I have available.

Working on dividers now.  Only about 1000 different ways to make those.  :D

Gunny, it may be a good time to do some purging.  We are going through that.  I am purging wood in my garage.  And, going to eliminate some of my planned projects.  Too many.  Right after Christmas, I will purge more.  Gotta get back to some order for me.

Steve, I am glad and relieved to see you back!  And very happy that you were able to weather the storm without a huge loss.  It is tough to see those images on tv of areas of flooding (or other natural disaster) and see people that lose everything but themselves.

I have two drawers like this, one (over) full of screwdrivers and one (over) full of various pliers and vice grips.  I think I will take a two pronged solution to this; weeding out a bunch of screwdrivers, I mean do I really need that old one I found on the side of the road as a kid that obviously was used to open paint cans?  I did use it though not too long ago - for opening a five gallon bucket of primer...  And following @p_toad advice and getting another drawer for the vice grips, or some kind of rack for them.  That should free up some space for a few more pliers:BugEyeSmiley:

So are ours Lew, the free upgrade from W7.

The 2004 build installed on the wife's PC without any problems, everything kept working!
