September 18, 20205 yr Weather finally cooled, so yard and garden work. And some electrical work at theater workshop. Spent most of Tues-Thurs cleaning up exterior of camper. The tree it had been sitting near was not nice to it. Washed and waxed. Edited September 18, 20205 yr by kmealy

Wow! That's quite a hefty drive. Good to hear you made it without incident. Folks doing ok?
September 18, 20205 yr Popular Post some age related health issues. we're doing what we can to address them and help them. Psalm 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Andrew, I had bought some canary wood somewhere in the past and I love it...it's up there on my list of favorite woods. One thing I had made was a flag case that the local VA affairs office gave to the family of a veteran. The wife sent the longest letter to me (not sure how she knew I made it, guess the VA office told her) expressing her appreciation for the case and how beautiful the wood is. It's not that easy to find....and I recall it not being cheap either. I still have a small amount I've been saving for a jewelry box.
September 19, 20205 yr Have to flip the MBR door over to paint the other side today, hang trim around the closet doors and install pulls - and the MBR is ready for move in! Except for blinds, not sure yet what the boss wants for window treatment. I will spend the rest of the weekend doing yard work and cleaning up the shop and likely some planning for tackling the LR-DR area flooring.

That's considerably cheap for blanks. In comparison to some blanks that can run as much as 200 dollars for a burl piece.

September 20, 20205 yr Popular Post Been a looong weekend so far. Did turning demo at the museum Friday. Friday evening did some final tests for a Zoom demo today and Zoom would not work. Ade a quick call to my video guru and then started applying the fix. It was to create a new user on the computer and install all the shortcuts to make the program work plus files we would be showing. Well that got finished up about 10 last night. At 8 this morning started final setup and handled the video for the club meeting. Then after all that my son wanted to look at some property for a house. When we had been home a couple hours Mom decided she wanted to see also so off we go again. Oh Boy am I pooped.
