one problem no VICE lol and honestly heating the bar up, if it was heat treated would ruin the heat treatment LOL.  Either way fortunately as stated I have two of them.  Bought two for a reason.  I'll just order a new tip and call that one for now LOL.

I do not think the heat treat is a problem. I have a friend who bent his hollower twice. He called them and they gave him a number of times it could be bent back . Don't remember how many but more than I would have thought. Hope @Jim from Easy Wood Tools will chime in on this.

By the way on carbides it is best to loosen screw and turn after each use and clean if necessary.

@lew, I am looking forward to the completion and finishing of your bowl.  I am so sorry that this cracked so badly on you, but I really like the bowtie.

I have watched the rest of the videos.  I can't understand the Deustch, but it is impressive.  I did watch the video of the man making the ball.  That is awesome.  The burl box was also awesome.  I have to quit watching as I get more ideas than I have time to perform.  Thanks, again.

Thanks... Its not too huge of an issue.  I still need to get doubles for my easy start detailer and easy start finisher.   As a rule of thumb I always try to have multiples of the same tool just in case something happens.

Jim, I am wondering if a dab of Johnson's paste wax would be helpful.  It seems if the screw is coated with the wax, it should be easy to remove.  I welcome your comments.

Yes, that would work.  When we turn all kinds of "stuff" gets into the threads, sawdust, pitch, sap, finish, water...   all kinds of "stuff" to gunk up the threads.  That should help as well.

@Jim from Easy Wood Tools Nice I think I have close to 14K posts on a gaming forum that's my record holder LOL.  500 is a big one to get to just the first hurdle to jump next one is the 1000 post mark.
