Last week, as predicted, we had four days of rain - about 3.5".  It cleared off Friday and we had a beautiful weekend.  I worked on the back deck and got one section (of two) nearly complete in addition to spending most of Saturday afternoon mowing the lawn.  Not much grass, but a lot of weeds...

A busy week this week.  I should finish up the section of the deck and begin framing up the second larger section today.  Tuesday I begin PT for deteriorated discs in my lower back.  I am almost "normal" now from a pre-holiday case of sciatica.  I guess because of those discs and my hobbling around for two months everything just got out of wack.  Hopefully the PT will get me back to where I can put in a good days work.

Wednesday is a dental appointment.  Rain is scheduled on and off most of the week.

Thursday is an appointment to get the a/c checked out in the wife's car.

Friday I am picking up SWMBO and we are headed to FLA for the weekend.

So, it looks like whatever I get done today is what I get done this week...

Two absolutely gorgeous weekend days. Not a cloud in the sky! Still a little too early to do any type of yard work, here, but did walk down to check out the garden. The garlic, I planted in the fall, is poking it's head up thru the protective mulch and so is are the chives. Even my rosemary plant survived the winter.

Played a little with a hollow vessel. It had broken free of the chuck when the wood around the recess split. Figured how to recreate a mounting and continued hollowing it. If successful, it will be the largest hollow vessel I've turned.

Our home went on the market 3/1. Today at noon, we have our first prospective buyer walk through. Hope they like what they see and, make an offer we can't refuse.

We have a place picked out in the foothills north of Tucson. On the north side of the Catalinas. About 30 miles from Tucson proper.  A working horse training facility. We don't have...or want... horses but, the home is just what we want and.....there's a huge shop on the property!!

It's VERY rural, which suits us to a T. It's like just moving our present home from N. AZ to a place 250 miles south.

Wish us luck.

Yesterday was the pick day of the weekend we got up to a SUNNY, & windy 63° for the first time since last October.

Today we might make it to the mid 50's but the :BlackCloud:will last most of the day.

So much for outside work. :(

Like @Cal we had a beautiful weekend. Got the myrtle tree trimmed. My son was home from school so we got it all cut down to small pieces for burning.

After I had to get a new chain for the saw. :JawDrop:

Had a good weekend finishing up 3 days demo at the MS AG Museum. Today cloudy so rain expected tomorrow and in for cast for next 5 or 6 days. SO going to try to get some of the three logs in the yard cut into turning blanks. Then start on a decorated plate for woodturners meeting.

Went and got new plates for the Jeep and a new "Compliant" drivers license.  Was third in line, had all the correct ID needed, still took an hour for processing.  What an ordeal, saw a few turned away after me that didn't have all they needed.  Have to drive with the old license until the new one comes in the mail.  Errand day for what is left of my day.

I get to go through that in May, this year.....maybe they will have all the kinks ironed out?   Doubt it.....:DevilLaughing:

They require a DNA sample, fecal sample and a semen sample.

So bring a diaper.:JawDrop:

:BitingNails:I've got to go through that this week! :BangingHead:

as soon as it looks like a go, we're off to scout out that horse farm place. BTW, that big shop has A/C and heat.

Great stuff Gene, here's hoping it all falls into place.

My weekend was spent quietly. Buried my Nana on 28th Feb, flew back from NZ to Aus the following Monday, and SWMBO and I both seems to have gotten bugs. Self-isolating, not because we think it's the current hot-topic in viruses but because anyone would not look kindly on us being out and spreading it.

Hope to get in the garage soon to finish the buffet. Doors, top and legs to complete.

Heat in AZ? You're not going to Falstaff are you? Errr, I meant Flagstaff.

@1fizgig, so very sad for your loss.  That is a tough one.  Great that you are looking forward to finishing that buffet.

@Gene Howe, please don't forget your team after you get into your kingdom.

Got the newel finials completed.  Have a couple of nicks to putty.  Will finish sand tomorrow and deliver.  They are this design.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/WOOD-FINIAL-UNFINISHED-FOR-NEWEL-POST-FINIAL-OR-CAP-15/222795112811?hash=item33df9fa16b:g:IFMAAOSwqbxaC2rv but you can be sure I won't get that price for them.  I may get $10 each and I'll be very happy.  :D
