This Rockwell Delta 15" drill press has been a good machine, but it is ready for a new home. I purchased this press 15 years ago, and outfitted it with a Rockler's table. It's been a great machine, bu

Thanks John for the mention ref the BS. I have not had a chance to use it yet as I am in the midst of a reorganization of my garage. As I mentioned to you, I am moving the opposite way that you are with my shop....I am going from a SS to stand alone tools. Coincidentally, I told my wife today that the one thing I was going to miss the most about my SS was the drill press and as soon as I get it sold, a DP is the first thing I plan to buy. :)

I am sure you will notice is that one of the things in using a SS is thinking through your project and trying to do as many things as you can in one set up before moving to a different tool. But I k now you will enjoy using it. Mine served me well for almost 40 years. Happy woodworking.

Great to hear from @JohnM!!!!!! That was so funny, you came to purchase the Bandsaw, and I asked you what are you planning on doing with it, I remember well, you stated you wanted to expand your shop to single use machines, as you needed a different direction from your ShopSmith, and I told you I am going to the Shopsmith, we both had a good laugh over that.

Thanks for the SS encouragement John, I look forward to the wonderful work you are going to do in your dedicated machinery shop! And remember as we spoke about it, the honey-do's will never end:)

Thanks so much for dropping in John!

Well it didn't look so new till I cleaned it up Gramps, it is a great machine @Gene Howe! It does totally suck! 2hp beast that took anything that was thrown at it, had a couple machines running at the same time when dad would be over giving me a hand and it had not problem whatsoever keeping up, with more power left for another two machines I am sure. If I am not mistaking I had 6" runs, with 4" drops and bottle necked down to 3" into the machines. I clumsily designed it myself, but I musta got lucky cuz it worked really well.

Nice DC John. I saw your jointer on CL. It looks nice as well. Wish I could fit it into my current budget.

I have the same machine and upgraded to canister filter. Will suck your arm off. What are you going to use to suck up the SS dust and yes I know it makes dust.

I was wondering the same thing. But, knowing John, he's got a plan.

I've thought about a move like that a few times.   The purity of chisels and saws and planes and shaves seems appealing  but I doubt I'll ever  do it.
