July 23, 20187 yr We will see about making it out to the big shin dig. Our escrow on our house here in Corona, CA is slated to close on August 10th. We will be flying back to Bowling Green KY on Wednesday July 24th to hook up with our Realtors and will fly back to California on Sunday July 29th. We hope to be able to finagle getting a new construction home quickly as we will be paying cash and maybe get things squared away to make it to the gathering. We will see how things go.
July 23, 20187 yr Author I was wondering about how this would fit with you timeline Allen. Just guessed it might be quite a juggling act.

Hope you do make it to Fred's place. One caution to consider while looking for a building site. Make sure it's large enough for a BIIIG shop.

There are a lot of "New Construction Homes" that are already completed and ready for move in. We hope we can work it out as we will be getting cash out from our current home and can move in quickly. We really do not want to rent if at all possible.

I will be leaving my table saw as we will have an estate sale to get rid of everything left. I will be getting a new table saw once we get things squared away. Depending on the size of our place I would look to set up a 2 car garage/shop. The only saw that I will be taking is my 12" Dewalt SCMS on a rolling stand.
July 23, 20187 yr If you leave now, you can make the EAA Fly-In in Oshkosh. My nephew & his wife are there now flying a WWII Japanese Fighter.
July 27, 20187 yr Author Yeah, given the number of attendees my work to prep for it (at this point) seems to be fairly easy. Hoping a few more can attend.

I thought @Michael Thuman had indicated earlier he planned trying to attend. He lives in Northern Indiana...his drive time would be similar to mine ~4 hours...maybe a bit longer.

August 20, 20187 yr Hi all, hope it's not too late, but I believe my wife and I will be joining the fun - although we will not be spending the entire day - there are some other attractions in the area she would like to check out - hope that's ok!
