Because..I have this mess to clean up.. Leftovers from other project...and some that will need to be tossed out.. And a couple that need a wee bit of work.. First step... Set the fence to rip down the wider boards..as I can always glue things up into panels.. And, sort through the worst of the mess...like these 3.. FUBARS? Or.. These 2 were not worth the effort to fix.. I also chose not the resaw these.. Raised the saw blade to full height..fence was set to 9/16" and then I ran a bunch of parts through, usually having to make one pass, flip the part over, and finish the cut...also had to keep track of Blade Tilt, as it started to move a degree or too....but.. Anyone liked their wood Spalted? Going to be Drawer fronts, Later... These are the "Keepers" Saw even needed a cool-down...was working hard, today..? Ya think? Red saw blade will be going back on the saw, later today....was a wee bit warm, yesterday.... Waiting on Moose & Squirrel Express to deliver "PLAN" then glue up 4 panels to surround 3-4 drawers? Stay tuned..

Ok,,teasers are done, for now..been posting snippets for a few days... so.. Had a lot of leftover Ash from the tool chest project...did a lot of resaw work on the leftover scraps...removing bad spots and other junky stuff...settled on working with 1/2" thick parts... There was also a wee bit of maple....one bit of Ash provided enough to glue up a panel.. Wasn't quite as wide as I wanted, so, I added a piece..tried to align the grain across (up?) the panel on all 4 pieces... There was enough "Good" parts.. To give me 2 ends and 2 sides for a box... Needed to clean off the bench.. Then, when the panel came out of the clamps.. A Jack plane to flatten both faces, then.. A No. 704 smoother to finish leveling the lid...checking for high spots, too... Then, I used a side and one of the ends.. Needed to square the ends of the panel, cut the 2 sides to length, and lay out for a finger lift on the front edge of the lid, and bandsaw it.. Which left Part 2...Joinery... Stay tuned...

Took an Inventory of the "better" pieces of Pine in the shop....mainly leftovers from the last project build.. A 1 x 2, a 1 x 4, a 1 x 12, and a stack of 1 x 6s.....There is still a stick of this stuff.. That may get set aside and made into a fancy little box....resaw work. Some of the rest need trimmed, here and there.. Yeah... Might have an idea about what this mess can be made into... Kind of out grown this til. Room for 6, has 12 in it....at the moment...Will do a bit of research and see what I can cobble up, to fit these into a better spot. Might be getting a spot over beside the drillpress, as I don't need or want that scrollsaw sitting there. Have only used it a couple times, just collecting grime, right now. May get stashed away, and the space used for other things. Stay tuned..

Did an inventory of all the leftover Pine scraps from the Table project.....A LOT more than I normally have,,,,must be slipping. Then, happened to look up.....and see all them handsaws hanging down.... IF I can find a spot to "park" it....there MAY be a saw till in the works....but there are almost 20 saws to put away....should be "Very Interesting" Will post here, IF I can get a wee bit of shop time...
