Click HERE Featured Topic @Mark Wilson is at it again, honing his craft and getting a bit creative with his burnt lumber. After doing a bit of research myself on dog and cat bowl feeders, the bowls should be elevated as Mark is doing here, it's healthier for our animals to feed without having to crouch so low to a bowl on the ground. Great work Mark! Featured Downloads and Plans Featured Video The Brasstown Carvers, steeped in tradition, what a neat video! I loved this. Hope you do too -
I was reflecting on my woodworking projects and they seem to fall into three categories - home related (furniture, storage, organization), gifts (frames, boxes, trivets), and dog stuff. This last category combines two of my loves - woodworking and dogs. A win win. Here's some of my pup projects. Well, it’s been busy in the shop lately. My grand daughter got two puppies (long haired dachunds), man are they the cutest puppies I’ve ever seen. So I made a dog feeder for her. Then a friend wanted a dog feeder for her chihuahua pup. Then I made a planter for the front porch and was asked if I could make 6 more (of course I would) sold them for 30 dollars a piece and realized I only broke even. Forgot the cost of materials, had gone up. But that’s ok, keeps me busy. Then last night we received a call saying my sister passed away from Altzhiemers. Anyhow, here are the photos of what I made. Not perfect, but with my hands that shake the way they do, I don’t think they look too bad. Oh, my grand daughter also asked if I could make this for her also (she calls it a sculpture. It’s supposed to be her and the pup.

I got an idea about putting my wife’s favorite dog breed on wood. Schnauzers i drew one on a piece of planed cedar fencing. I used internet pictures as a guide. Then went over it with different size markers. It went OK, I’m not thrilled at the results. However she likes it. If I ever try something like this again, I’ll know what not to do. It is above 9 x7 and will be a wall hanger
