It does get better, though...as far as trimming the ends of the leg blanks..:WonderScratch:

NextTableProjectlegtrimsetup.jpg.172f18e95879b8d3067476025d4ab335.jpg

Needed a helping hand...a clamp to hold the mess to the Miter Gauge...not taking any more than I have to, off of this end...:ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectlegaftertrimming.jpg.d235271c4682b02836691c971c101b65.jpg

After the cut, rotate around and clamp it back up, with the "cut line" at 30-7/8" away from the first cut...:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectlegbeforetrim.jpg.5a557443e77650c197a19e59f2e0f80a.jpg

And run it through again....then set these aside for a day.

Had to make a bit of room on the bench..:SaluteandRun:

NextTableProjectlegneedscleared.jpg.0b2b4894f9947d3d257f3a76de796a53.jpg

Some items just needed put away, for now...as I needed to room for a heavy box...:JawDrop:

NextTableProjectlegheavybox.jpg.1be87e4f44e9dc563a565a55a9e56956.jpg

I also needed to figure out which jack plane to keep on the bench...:WonderScratch:

NextTableProjectlegTwins.jpg.9aaf103405018e7b2a1e6d75630fe46d.jpg

The Ohio N0. 0-5, or..the Millers Falls No. 14....:ChinScratch:

Inside that heavy box?:WonderScratch:

NextTableProjectlegneedsassembly.jpg.0ccaf4c007d2bd4133509a32788073c2.jpg

"Some assembly required" so...:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectlegneedssharpened.jpg.d63412ee13f0c12f9ad7a5722b93a1c6.jpg

Main Stock..and a pair of "Short Rods"  and that #23 bead cutter....which needed a sharpening...before it could be installed..:SaluteandRun:

NextTableProjectleginstalled23.jpg.fd353a82e1b6e36881093669452818cf.jpg

Needs a few more parts, doesn't it?  :ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectlegsettheslider.jpg.5f00b17ccad618484862edb04c9a406c.jpg

The Sliding Stock goes here...Direct support for the quirk cutting edge....even though that one will not be doing any cutting, today, I still need to support that edge of the cutter..Next..:WonderScratch:

NextTableProjectlegsetthefence.jpg.21c4a5e1d962beaac315368096333bcc.jpg

The fence goes on, and covers that left side of the cutter...:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectlegallset.jpg.3f172b37ac485f931311bd14491ca856.jpg

Rods go into the top holes, and things get locked down...Needed a test track..:SaluteandRun:

NextTableProjectlegtestpiece.jpg.999a62c1cffb34d347cbdfe17aa3479f.jpg

That should do the trick...give it a try...:Cheer:

NextTableProjectlegtestrun.jpg.b43544b902fbc81f9652821e4ab2baf4.jpg

Seems to finish up a tad low..adjust the depth stop a tad...should be ready to go...

Stay tuned..:cowboy:

NextTableProjectBeadworkthereitis.jpg.9b62f2c0979eb4f707d3896a2bc8678f.jpg

NextTableProjectBeadworkplanedsmooth.jpg.38a8f95cabbd028c0142c5f08742df89.jpg

I wanted a nice, smooth surface to run the #45 on...Millers Falls No.8...:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectBeadworknewjig.jpg.6b0bb7bf823d5b32518cdfdb44dad712.jpg

Then the hold down can be locked in place...And the first half of the bead can be run....then rotate...:Cheer:

NextTableProjectBeadworkrotate.jpg.565385f8454a9ed52465f8d1c595bcb9.jpg

And run the #45 again...stopping every now and then to clear out the shavings...:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectBeadworkshavingplug.png.63cd917eaf523bce4f4d44394563f13d.png

That yellow handled screwdriver can do that....:MachineGun:

NextTableProjectBeadworkDone.jpg.451660524b756cfcb6c13968b8c606a6.jpg

Details?:WonderScratch:

NextTableProjectBeadworkdetails.jpg.13dd97c211a53aaa074b9cc4d8e78141.jpg

Then...repeat for the other 3 legs...

NextTableProjectBeadworkalldone.jpg.c299fc6b6fcdc22f1e0a14371089f6e8.jpg

Handsome, ain't they.....this end will be under the top of the table...out of sight.

Needed to get these done first, before I start with the tapers...:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectTapersStopLine.jpg.bfa0561d37bfe93caced0e3b6febb506.jpg

Come down 5", mark a "stop" line...go to the other end..:SaluteandRun:

NextTableProjectTaperscutline.jpg.d4498c60922f4270d72a04bb224a32d8.jpg

Mark a start line...connect the 2 points..

NextTableProjectTapersLayouttool.jpg.f8c000f12752ff446d7530b22ded1c3a.jpg

With a steel Yard Stick/Straightedge....Bandsaw to remove MOST of the waste..:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectTapers1stslice.jpg.b05b7eab4ca007f90131cc0fc55e5bc5.jpg

Rotate to the right, mark the next cut line, using the cut-off...and make the second slice..:ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectTapers2ndslice.jpg.e65ef2171efaa3a4c119f9dc2ff00ba8.jpg

Hmm..only 3 more legs to go....Intend to plane the saw marks smooth when I can get to that point,,,,

Plan right now, is to get the legs ready for the mortises.....then...work on bread board the Table's top...THEN I can measure for the aprons, and mill them...then the Mortise & Tenon stuff can begin.....plus a way to connect the base to the top....

That IS the "Plan" at the moment....:OldManSmiley:

I'm just impressed to know someone that can use a 45 like you do.

By the way, it's the 3rd of March!
