Have laid in a supply of Lumber..:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectNotgood(2).png.0e638802bbd679beed42913de306ea3d.png

All 1 x 6s...first 4 are Maple ( not sure which type)  some are fairly decent..

NextTableProjectgoodMaple.png.27b6d511a6a005dca3772a4f155a6778.png

And  one that will take a bit of work to use..:JawDrop:

NextTableProjectNotgood(3).png.89a72a08e25b525ff6a6b7f544d9f1e3.png

Plus a BIG knot down on the end...3 out of 4 are good enough...Can cut around this a bit, for the smaller parts..:ChinScratch:

This corner needs cleaned out/up..:JawDrop:

NextTableProjectneedscleanedout(2).png.692a1153bb1223fb1e3ab5ed46bcaa8d.png

DVD Cabinet needs an extension add to the door, as it is too shallow to close up nicely.    Old Pine Table is too small, and too short...and the Cats have been using a leg as a Scratching post.. :ArguingSmileys:

NextTableProjectoldleg.png.74903084b57e507a00881d29304242ca.png

And that corner needs a good cleaning out, and block any Access to Cats Entry....:PullingHair:

Top needs to be 26 x 22, and the height needs to be just under 32":OldManSmiley:

Maple Table Project for March?   And an Ash repair/upgrade to the DVD Cabinet?:ChinScratch:

Provided of course, that I finally figure out how the editing program works in this New Computer Tower....those 5 photos took almost an hour to edit!:ArguingSmileys:

The 3 best looking of the 4 Maple 1 x 6s have been hauled to the shop....intend to cut 3 blanks to length for the top..then rip the remainder of the 3 planks to 1-1/2" width....some for the leg glue-ups, and one or 2 as fillers to the Table's Top Panel...as 3 planks @ 5-3/4 width will not add up to 23"...:OldManSmiley:

There is hints of Spalting going on....will see how I can make use of that detail...:ChinScratch:

Stay tuned..:cowboy:

Lumber Supply for today.:Cheer:

2 out of 3...and the 3rd one?:ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectTopstart.png.11ebc77c8d206dc2dbdfe38eeb12221d.png

These 3 were too long to cut on the Tablesaw safely, so...Mark a cut line at around 26" from an end..:OldManSmiley:

Grab a saw down off the overhead hook...

NextTableProjectTopPickasaw.png.864b506d38a4a31aa4bdfe2cfbbf1e75.png

That should do the trick...and split the line...:ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectTop.cuttheline.png.9e5f30fe2a5ff7dbe64cd8f9c8cf86ae.png

Olde School? :OldManSmiley: But works...repeat until I had 4 blanks cut....:Cheer:

NextTableProjectTop1sttry.png.1b975bc7678308078106c82eab045f84.png

Hmmm...we have work to do....Square the ends that need squared up, change to a 24 tooth RIP blade on the Tablesaw.....Slide the "best" edge along the rip fence, while barely peeling off a curvy, bad edge...then go back and do the other edges,,,:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectTopgettingcloser.png.f6c9abe93cb6d497d06710d6f71241b0.png

About as close as I can get with the Tablesaw, so..bring out the Cordless Jointer....:JawDrop:

NextTableProjectTopStripes.png.96234789f2c089117cf52603ef95f4bd.png

BTW, that is NOT a crack...look at the shavings.:JawDrop:.  I used a steel straightedge to check with...

NextTableProjectTopstraightedge.png.e77948ce481bc88508a11b4d9619997c.png

Once this edge was done, I could use it to check the next edge...:ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectTopcheckforgaps.png.22cc939ac9e293caf6eee15340a3a622.png

Looking for any gaps...or, a beveled edge ( found 2)...:OldManSmiley:

Goal was to at least get all 4 blanks done enough that I could do a panel glue up....:Cheer:

NextTableProjectTopreadyforglue.png.a91b3aa8cfcc8f35e88bc15479c54d0f.png

Close enough?:ChinScratch:

90 minutes IN the shop, today.....before Ser Uncle Charles decided to attack my toes and the back of the lower legs...so, I merely swept the floor up, and called it a day..:ArguingSmileys:

Still getting used to the new glasses, with BiFocals....and still learning how to edit photos on this new computer...:PullingHair:

When I was in the trades, I had upper and lower bi-focals so I didn't have to break my neck doing overhead work.

:ChinScratch:Todays February 23, still looks like

I have a pair with the bi-focal on the top for the same reason.

I just MIGHT have got this new Photo Editing figured out....Maybe..things have to be done in a very certain order...so...11 photos have been done, in record time:OldManSmiley:

Moved everything off the tablesaw for now...decided to cut a few blanks for legs...:ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectglue-upslegblanks.jpg.9b76b8a57986c076a3f587b6f8cb9e6d.jpg

As each leg will be a glue-up..more on these, later.:Tapping:

Made a bit of a mess..:)

NextTableProjectglue-upsmessyfloor.jpg.1c2ad503a04d25c7c7c21a81ee6068b6.jpg

Used that 24 tooth blade from Wall E World...:JawDrop:

Pre-set a few Pipe Clamps..

NextTableProjectglue-upspre-set.jpg.21e2b722b04dcd18a9e59852028b40be.jpg

This will go on top...the 2  for underneath are awaiting..:Tapping:

NextTableProjectglue-upsworktable.jpg.d8b79c7f32735150473a439aa7603fc4.jpg

Laid out the blanks for the Table's Top..spread some glue around....Roll one pipe clamp up into place, snug it up...roll the other one up and snug it up...hammer to assist where needed....then add the top clamp in the middle...:ChinScratch:

NextTableProjectglue-upsTableTop.jpg.f3883f8af3090e7121babff2afdbe081.jpg

Nice part about all the handles ....:OldManSmiley:

NextTableProjectglue-ups1stleg.jpg.8c029c5549065beb276d3b81e26f05b9.jpg

It offers a place to do leg glue-ups..and any drips will drop down onto that mess of sawdust...

Did not have enough 6" H-F Clamps...so...I made do..:JawDrop:

NextTableProjectglue-ups2ndleg.jpg.59a39de27699c2a9e30d11a7dbc5ca91.jpg

Then stashed each leg glue-up out of the way...

NextTableProjectglue-upsstashedaway.jpg.ac0da74a3109872e0069b983a1ec1aac.jpg

As for the 2 "Cut-offs"?:ChinScratch:

Scraps?  Or....:WonderScratch:

Boss has errands to run..TODAY.

Tasks for the rest of this week?  Involve the 4 leg blanks......

Remove the clamps

Remove the glue squeeze outs

Square the blanks

Bead run down the best of the 4 corners on each leg

Taper 2 sides, and plane smooth....

Move the blank for the table top elsewhere, as I'll NEED me tablesaw for a few tasks....like milling 4 aprons...

That should do it for the rest of this week...

Stay tuned...

Ok, Boss had her errands to run..TODAY....before we left the house, though....:Cheer:

Leg blanks lost their clamps..:WonderScratch:

NextTableProjectDe-clamp_legs.jpg.f022bcf3d9525087de47bb49c5eff4aa.jpg

Handsome Crew, ain't they?   They are sitting over here because..:JawDrop:

NextTableProjectde-clampcauls.jpg.c426c1b471dc85718d7bfa4fa49aa7df.jpg

The panel for the table's top needed the pipe clamps replaced with a couple of cauls....so that this will be easier to move around in the shop, or, stash out of the way, for now..

NextTableProjectDe-clamptopstashed.jpg.180b0a740217b4ce1c3f6745b07418d3.jpg

It can sit here, while I work on the 4 legs...tomorrow. :Tapping:   Way too tired right now to go to the shop.:GoodNight:...I did hang a few saw blades up...:OldManSmiley:

WoodshopSuppliesnewblade.jpg.7ea194bbb9e313274c92a07fed6570b6.jpg

That way I can find them, again...:ChinScratch:

Stay tuned...:cowboy:

Run the leg blanks through a Jointer, to remove the glue lines...at least on one edge...set THAT edge against the rip fence..

NextTableProjectLegsripstation.jpg.b56029404a895c2fb3d50794bfb05ec1.jpg

Fence was set to barely skim off the other edge...reset the fence to 1-1/2" width...run the other 2 edges through...cutting the worst face as well...leaving the Show Face alone..

NextTableProjectLegssquared.jpg.142e1823f90a6247a033f924ed8d0c19.jpg

Clamp them all together when done, so that they stay straight...and...

NextTableProjectLegsNeedsatrim.jpg.ff253068511ac7362b17e83bdd9b9b80.jpg

Run these through as a gang...trim both ends...need to be 30-7/8" in length, total..

Square?

NextTableProjectLegsChecked1.jpg.0d9278fa9c819dd74692171e4299cbf3.jpg

Would appear to be...

NextTableProjectLegschecked2.jpg.db64cd6e31a0e9adb13fbfed82d64803.jpg

Had errands to run...Boss has Visitors ( can't run the tablesaw right now)

Will square the ends, then set up the Stanley #45 as a Beading Plane....will see how the day goes...
