Thanks Lew.  Birdhouse ornaments have to be my favorite.  I have seen so many different versions and love them all.

Thanks for the post Lew. Saw Stratton at SWAT doing spheres so I turned my first a couple weeks ago and plan to embellish it. Now guess there will also be a sphere box.

clearly i'm just making a C in ornament turning.  only done 3 so far, have some blanks for later ready in the shop.

Hope you show us how they come out!

natural for now.  i'll give them away, and they can do as they wish.  color with marker pens, paint, whatever.

good news for ornaments:  there really is no 'wrong' answer.  just ornaments that get smaller and smaller until you stop the lathe.
