Live from "Two Weeks From Anywhere" it's Friday again folks!

Working from the Zorin (Linux) OS half of this computer this morning.

I wasn't sure if the site was going to let me on through the W11 OS half or not. I'll check that out later.

Will be celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary tomorrow.

Other than that depends on the weather.

Hope to watch IU football take down Michigan tomorrow much to the dismay of my SIL and two grandsons. Probably some other games on I don't care much about but beats watching reruns of 70s game shows,

    Hey, I found my bench!

  • Busy weekend.    Saturday morning is the woodworking club meeting.  The featured speaker is from Tenryu saw blades.  In case you are not aware of them, they are a very good quality saw blade.  I

Got right on this morning.  No captcha or other.

Not much planned for the weekend.  May spend a few hours in the shop.

Got my CNC cranked up cutting a test sample of a joinery idea I have. Should have photos of success or failure in an hour or two.

No sign of cats.  I suspect it was a one-night layover they took on their way to some magical place where black cats vacation after Halloween season is over.  ;)

Marie has launched into her baking mode for Thanksgiving. Since here back is now a lot worse than a year ago my role in al this has increased significantly. So I guess I'll be near the kitchen gathering items, putting things into/out of the oven, and other such activities. It may be this way for the next few weeks.

Probably some other games on I don't care much about but beats watching reruns of 70s game shows, Beverly Hillbillys, Andy of Mayberry and Lume commercials. Attend church via live stream Sunday.

May try to venture outside later; haven't been outside since last Friday well actually early Saturday morning...haven't had pants on since then for that matter. That's probably TMI; my apologies; hopefully you can erase that picture from your mind.

No donuts in the house, no prospects for any so I don't see myself motivated to accomplish much else.

:ChinScratch: I think I'll leave that one alone. ;)

Planning to participate in W5AUM's monthly POTA gathering tomorrow.  Starts with breakfast at a local eatery and then on to Lake Sommerville State Park (Birch Creek side).  BBQ lunch provided around 1pm.  Expecting 20 or so.

Mrs. Boss is having her sister over to do some RV decorating.  Curtains and bedding stuff or so I'm told.

Not sure about Sunday yet.  We shall see when the time comes.

Picked up an ultra rare contact in Sri Lanka.  1st ever contact on the Indian sub continent.  For the inquiring mind, that's 9850 miles from here.  WOW!

Thanks John. We're the only couple out of five that are still together from back then. Most of them said we'd only last a year.

Spending today and tomorrow at a hotel while insulators remove fiberglass insulation from our home and replace it with spray foam insulation. A bit stressful for my wife but she's handling it ok.

@Al BThat sounds like a big, messy job.  Just curious why you're having it done?

Well @JimM,  we've been here for over 45 years.  No cellar under the home and over the years a lot of the insulation has worked loose and we have evidence of mice getting into it. With the foam, we will have higher level R factor insulation and a solid mouse proof barrier. A bit expensive but hopefully worth the cost. About $7500 after a 10% senior discount. We have had wildlife people here to rid us of anything under there.
