I've had our Kroger's too. Pretty good when they're freshly made. I'll have to see if ours does the Friday thing.

Fresh daily at at our store.

If this thread is about what you are doing this weekend it sounds like everyone is sitting around eating donuts and sweating. :throbbinghead:

I'm not sure I see a problem here........

The shop is shut down for several days. Phyl is having most of the interior of the house re- painted.  Everything needs to be removed from the walls, furniture, drapes, and blinds, and her nic-nacks removed and stored. It's going to be an all day...or more...job. we have to vacate for the duration of the painting. Probably 3 days. We'll stay with our son. Then, it'll be another day or two putting everything back. Plus she wants a new TV and a new couch and dining room table. Ah well. Happy wife, happy life.

Yes, but did YOU build it? :WonderScratch:

When I worked for Lands & Forests in 1967, all the cabins in the camp had numbers painted on the roof. The outhouse was #13. It was about 30' long, with one continuous bench, and thirteen holes! There was a doorway at either end, but no doors. That way you could vacate it faster when a bear came in.

no, can't take credit for that one.

I was with a group of 18 HS kids this past week, Sun-Wed up in CO for their annual Bible camp.  good kids, good questions, good discussions, they had a blast, i survived.  ended up providing transport to 4 giggly girls, 6 hours each way. they/we talked almost the whole time.  got some insight on their thinking and their lives, tried to pass along some wisdom from being old and having been married for 20 years.  perhaps some sunk in.  it's all you can do is to give them loving instructions and Biblically based wisdom, and then they have to decide how they will live their lives.

it's been a long, long time since i've tried to sleep with 10 kids in a bunk house on a 3" foam mattress.  ugh.  didn't get much sleep.

Well I just fulfilled my agenda for the weekend  and I did it without the benefit of a single donut.

Wait....that is a bit of an oxymoron.....no one can eat just a SINGLE donut.

Anyway I keep a large change jar in my bedroom and I was tired of missing the opening of the jar and having to bend over

to pick up the change off the carpet. So I made a stand for the change jar.

Cool idea but I would opt for a jar with larger mouth.

  • Popular Post

Opt for was not an option. I'm a big believer in making do with what i have on hand. :D

Besides my granddaughter can't get her hand into that jar.

I didn't have a lot of time, but they have a cool scavenger hunt game sheet with detailed pictures of a part of one of the displayed items and you have to find the vehicle it goes on.

These have been abandoned in the woods since the 30s. They were used to haul 4' pulp logs from the St John Watershed (Flowing North into Canada) and dump them in the Penobscot Watershed (Flowing South)
