July 10, 20232 yr Author Popular Post The mounding is glued up and drying. It will be ready for installation tomorrow. We will add the door stop and this one is done. Paul
July 12, 20232 yr Author Popular Post This door is done. This one was a unique door in the house as it was the only double door and a difficult wall to deal with. From here on in it gets pretty monotonous. They are all either 30 or 28 inch doors. Paul Edited July 12, 20232 yr by Masonsailor

July 18, 20232 yr The only downside I can see is that my wife has seen that and I have another entry somewhat down the list from pantry that reads ‘custom doors’
July 20, 20232 yr Author Popular Post Not a lot happening except for a lot of glue up. I should be done gluing up components in the next few days as well as the routering for the inlays. The glass for door number two and the hardware for all the doors will be here next week. I am going over to the coast to pick up more Wenge and spend some time on the boat. Paul
August 6, 20232 yr Author Popular Post Now that I am pretty much over the COVID thing it has been back to work on the doors. At this point all 13 top pieces have been inlaid and most of the lamination is done. The lockset hardware is still a couple of days out and will hopefully be here this week. I still have to get approval on the moulding and then it’s march through this house installing doors. Paul

August 8, 20232 yr Author Popular Post The only temporary effect is the altered sense of taste and smell. That is almost gone now. The worst part of COVID is that it alters the taste and smell of my coffee. Diabolical Paul

Possible cloudiness of thought (hey maybe we all have that) is one my doctor told me about.
August 10, 20232 yr Author Popular Post Well woodworking post Covid continues. The rest of the door hardware arrived today so I created the SVG files and did a test run. The SO did very well so now it’s full steam ahead. Or in my wife’s terms Ramming Speed Mr Sulu. 😎 Paul
August 30, 20232 yr Author Thought I would post an update. I have spent the last few weeks finishing up all the components for the doors including the Wenge moulding. I have completed the next door and after the holiday will start on the next one. Hopefully I can do a door a week. I think I could do them faster but boat life is getting in the way. The first day of lobster season sin only 5 weeks away. Paul Edited August 30, 20232 yr by Masonsailor
