Takin to the finish. The last six doors. Whew. Get these done and then it’s back to some cabinet work.

It’s been a pretty busy spring around here and there hasn’t been much to post about. I’m still doing doors so the woodworking has been pretty monotonous. I thought I was down to the last door when the boss said “ Hey what about the guest house ?”  Argh. Oh well. Another month or two of door making doors !

As part of the doors I need to make the door stops. I’m still gluing up the last doors but I needed some lathe time. I roughed them out today but I’m waiting for the pads to be able to finish them.

Well it’s over. What an ordeal. We finished the last door yesterday ! Now I can get some smaller projects done that have been waiting a while.

I guess there's a picture there, but all I have is a big black box. Oh, well....no doubt they turned out to be really nice!

Well apparently having Ileene send me a picture of the last door via text doesn’t work. I’m in CA on the boat. I left the day I finished that door and came to the boat. But they’re done. Thank the Lord. That was eternally boring by the end.

Spent the day turning all the door stops. After all those doors it was good to get a little turning in.

Very nice Paul.  What are the fuzzy buttons you are using on the ends.  Do you mount these on the wall close to the floor?

They are actually chair glides what have a piece of carpet on the ends. They are mounted on the baseboards.
