My apologies for not posting this sooner. Just over a week ago, I sent @FlGatorwood aka Steve Wilson an email just to check in.  Receiving his permission, I'll provide this general update.

 

As many of us know, life challenges impact our desires to accomplish what we want versus what is needed (my words not his). Steve keeps busy attending to Anne's (his wife) needs. Anne has been under hospice care for well over a year now but with that, Steve continues to find many blessings serving her. He also is tasked with taking care of some of his grandchildren. Now 73 (wow time flies since he, @Al B, @LarryS and I first "met" so long ago on the old Handyman Club of America Forum) he too has encountered some health challenges of his own.

 

All of this prevents him from spending much time pursuing wood shop time, but even with that, he managed to compl  ete a few inside-out turning projects this year. And to be expected with Steve's passion for giving to others particularly this time of year, he has found recipients for his work.

 

He emphasized he sorely misses interacting with all of us here, but other priorities take precedence. To all here, from Steve: "Have a great holiday season and enjoy your family. They are a true blessing."

 

 He didn't say, but I believe these are made from Cedar although could be Cypress??

Of course all the work was done on his Shopsmiths.
