Playing “catch up” in the shop.  We had a record breaking show last Saturday and my stock for my online store is depleted.  Not a bad problem to have, I suppose.

  • Getting ready for a show in two weeks . Got Snowmen, Biscuit cutters, Mario Mushrooms and Bell Ornaments turned and in stages of finish. Woodturners meeting tomorrow.

Prayers for the both of you

After a few weeks visit my son has gone back home to Alabama.   One less car in driveway, one more toolbox in my shop.  Was a good visit but will be awhile before his next visit.  Off to sea starting 14 Dec through 20 April.  Then back to Merchant Marine Academy for his Senior year.  So about 1 1/2 years left before he graduates Acadamy.  His plan is to join Merchant Marines and be at sea 6-9 months a year for couple years and make his fortune.  After that, hey Engineers make good money in civilian world.

Wife and I are in recovery mode.  We rarely have visitors for more than few hours, never mind few weeks.  :D

Another (and finally last) day hanging out around the pool. Morning session over; back home to rest a bit. Back to pool in a couple hours. Granddaughter qualified for 100 Individual Medley finals later. Her next event though is the "mile" freestyle finals before IM. Caps off the evening with one leg of 400 freestyle relay.

She arranged with professors to miss classes tomorrow. Coming home with us to start her Thanksgiving break a couple days early. Betting she'll sleep in tomorrow🤣

Working on a socket holder for 3/4 drive sockets.  Goes in very top of my toolbox.  Rarely used space and sockets, but when needed.  Available.

Got all the parts milled and cut for the final patio chair today.

As I have progressed through this project my design skills are improving. I see mistakes I made in the previous designs and improvements are being made in both in design and execution.

Good to find mistakes and make adjustments and such.  BUT, we tend to be our own worst critic.  :D

Managed to find a couple new to me bar stools for shop, on some items i spend a lotta time at bench, so needed some additional stools for compadres. and ole gal laid out 10 cutting boards from the mat;l i cut for her, so tomorrow we'll glue those up and probably run some purple heart and walnut thru the planer so she can have some deco colors for her other boards,

laser doesn't wanna work, while i paid not much for it, am looking at a couple others, sure do like what it does for logos and misc.

cnc work will happen this week two of the new bits showed up, so we ll make some dust, see how it goes

happy sunday

I blinked and it is past.

All the scrap went to the basement. Everything moved in crafting area (dining room). Floor swabbed x2.

I’ve got a respiratory infection but it is not presenting as severely now. My thinking is that summer crafting + basement window fan 24/7 = dust mitigated.

Thanks! It is seriously passing.  A good cleaning and no more casual sanding at table. I did a little scraping today, sanding outside.
