Friday May 27th 2022-What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Friday again folks.

Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" we have no special plans for the weekend.

Retirement simply means if it ends with "day" you made it to or through another one. <_<

It would appear our local Cricket store prefers playing games with people saying I'll give you a call back in a few minutes which never happens.

So today I'll be looking at other companies phone services/plans. ;)

Which leaves the "BIG" question,

What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

We have had significant rainfall this week, but no more in the 10 day forecast.  So, I need to get out and mow the lawn.

My sister & BIL are coming in to spend the weekend with us.

Outside of that, a whole slew of loose ends to tie up before the wife and I head out for a trek north.  A working "vacation" is approaching...

Working on new cabinet for outside to replace a rusting metal one.

Bottom plate is all done. Top one is in glue up still.

Still working on 2 TV trays and a drink stand for our daughter. The tale for the trays is a framed piece of plywood....and I learned yesterday that I've forgotten evrything I ever knew (if it was that much) about making frames. One mistake after another (skip the details) but I think I finally got them made. Today I'll cut the panels to size and glue them up; maybe, if my bruised ego lets me.

Yesterday was my wife’s birthday and her wish was to take the grandkids to Disneyland so we are in Southern Cal at the boat for a long weekend. I’ll get some work done on the boat today but the rest of the weekend including Monday is BBQing and entertaining on the boat.

Refinishing an old sugar bowl that was replaced with the newer Celtic knot design. Started a platter only to discover a void hidden deep inside. I usually try to incorporate natural defects but a platter without a bottom becomes a circular picture frame- not what I needed.

Used modeling clay to create a dam and seal the will pour Alumilite to fill the void. Smaller areas sealed with StarBond CA.

It's the last weekend before our provincial elections. The politicians are busy spreading election promises in the cities, while the farmers are busy spreading something similar on the fields! I'll stay indoors and try not to inhale too deeply.
