February 14, 20224 yr Popular Post BIL brought a box full of his turning tools and has commandeered one of my Shopsmiths. unfortunately, he has no steady rest and no tail stock. But, bowls don't need a tail stock, do they? He did bring a face plate adapter that fits the SS. We can cobble up a steady rest of sorts utilizing the table and/or the wide auxiliary table and some Unistrut. Phyl is somewhat interested in learning to turn. We'll wait to see just how interested, before committing to purchasing the lathe paraphernalia.
