Yard mowed. Taxes are done and accepted by IRS. May get an audit because of Care package and we did not receive the 3rd stimulus money we qualified for a bunch more refund.

For the weekend I hope for a few minutes to prep some wood for turning. Hope to do some next week. IDK.

Tax forms sent electronically by our CPA. Used to use TurboTax but, this guy is cheaper and, I don't have to mess with it. Me not messing with it is a biggie.

Taxes:  the annual math problem where if you get the answer correct, you get to live freely for another try next year, and if you get the answer wrong, you get to spend some time in Federal prison.  but no pressure.....

Well my day started off poorly.  Broke a crown last night and when it broke it broke at the roots.
12 hours later the roots have been extracted and I am waiting for the Novocain to wear off and the pain meds to kick in.

Hopefully those things will overlap but with my luck today that wont happen.

Not exactly the way I wanted to start off the day or kick off the weekend.

BTDT some time ago...wasn't enjoyable. Wife had the same happen to her on Thanksgiving Day. Lots of visits & $$$$'s later, finally got her new one Monday.

Wishing you the best.

Think I'm all ready; of course I'll still have to suffer through all the after-game reports om Monday. I mentioned before...I'm not a fan.

To this, I can relate 100%

One of my daughters texted today and wants to go looking for antler sheds tomorrow. Might be a bit chilly and on the early side but we give that a shot.  Otherwise, working on the new wood lathe, turning some snowmen for an order I have, helping build a balloon car for science class, and cleaning the shop are all on the list for the weekend.  Probably won’t make it through all of these by Monday.  Happy weekend all.

Late to the party. Been watching livestream of youngest grandaughter's D3, College Conference swim prelims. She's doing pretty well considering she lost 10 days of training recently due to COVID.  Swam a personal best yesterday in 500 yd freestyle and today in the 100 yd breaststroke. Competes again tonight in breaststroke finals and a relay.. More prelims tomorrow AM and hopefully finals tomorrow night. She's swimming 1650 freestyle:BugEyeSmiley:tomorrow, plus another relay.

Watching an on-line, woodworking tools only, auction; never dealt with this company; odd, bids went crazy first couple of days, then literally nothing has occurred last five days. It closes tonight.

Just made a batch of SW, white, chicken chili for dinner tonight. Some other domestic duties await too. Church Sunday (assuming we can chip through all the ice). May watch some of the SB, IDK?...too much politics and too little football anymore.

What school? Wish her luck. Opening week of college softball. Got in from St. Paul at midnight , up and in car at 6am to drive to U. So. Car.  Daughter still rehabbing knee so limiting play.(catcher). Through the years I have watched many of her games either streaming or on ESPN +.

Painting done.  While I was unwrapping these up BIL came by and asked me to help him go get a piece of exercise equip. they had just got.  So I taped these up and hit with the spray cans of red & orange.  Brushed on the black after I got home.

If I make it to town this morning for supplies I may be able to get this first one done up.  I can work outside on the back deck and take advantage of the sun and 70*.

Today & tomorrow will be the first time that Patti & I will be home alone together two days in a row since before Thanksgiving. We are not needed, obligated or required to be anywhere for anyone other than ourselves. The plan is to turn on the stereo, breakout the backgammon board and drink the bottles of wine that we didn't have to during the holidays. Cheers!

Thanks Kevin. She attends an in-state, small, D3 University. She's a freshman. Her sister plays tennis for a conference rival school. The swim conference meet is a 3 day event. Got to see her swim her very first collegiate meet since it was pretty close (at Purdue University) but it was a rough day for me. Long drives are rough enough right now besides sitting at an event all day.

I know what you mean about all the early ups + plus late returns and on the road though. Very thankful for various medium today to watch. I only missed 2 basketball games during my daughter's 4 years of varsity High School time and maybe a handful of tennis matches. But I was A WHOLE LOT YOUNGER then.:P

My wife is a retired EA (Enrolled Agent) and CPA that did and taught taxes for many years.   She does them, then asks me to look over.  Yep, looks good to me.  I think 1979 was the last time I was involved in doing any tax work.  With running a sole prop business, I was especially grateful.
