Yeah that's what the dog said too...and oh, you (me) can drink out of the toilet if you want, but PLEASE keep my bowl filled.

As for the cats here...NO, they share nothing...cats, well it's all about them.

:ChinScratch: Yeah, all they need us for is our thumbs.

Have you ever just sat their canned food down by their bowl without opening it?  It's like "What the heck am I supposed to do with that"?

Sweet. Good on @Cal.

The Bailey on the left...#7 or #8? Is there a patent date(s) on it too? Needs a little tote repair but to be expected based on age.

The other nice little #4. Late 50's to mid 60's. Just quick guess from what I can see.

I'll be stalking you on this thread:ph34r:

That box I promised in exchange for a beautiful abstract oil rendering of our desert, is complete and ready to ship. Pics of both will be forthcoming.

A quick run to Atlanta still takes all day...  No rain yesterday so Julie & I loaded up the entertainment center at first light and hit the road.  Delivered the EC to a happy daughter, and then spent the balance of the day in the city running errands & shopping and one quick stop to see @Gunny.  Did make it home just before dark to a bit of drizzle.  Pouring down rain this morning...

Did stop and look at some office furniture that is at auction.  Several long tables, large wood desk and smaller round table.  My interest is only in the long tables, and those only for the legs.  Legs were bolted on so I can easily remove them and load into the truck.  The desk - not so much.  No problem though, the fella said anything I didn't want to take he would just reload into another auction.  Problem solved!  Unfortunately, it would require another trip up there next week.

Pics of the EC

@Cal. Most excellent entertainment center. You nailed it (no pun intended) for decorum fit. Appears your daughter is an accomplished artist in her own right?

@Gene Howe I don't understand art, abstract or paint by numbers nor have I been to the desert, but that painting seems to capture the essence of the desert environment. Fine piece of work. Speaking of fine work, that box is darn nice too. I love the recessed, round corner detail. IMO both parties did well on this exchange.

Dave, I don't think that young lady has ever been any farther from the Chicago area than Kenosha. Yet she captured this area quite well. she asked what we wanted and we told her abstract desert scene. Expectations met, I'd say.

Most of my boxes are built as one piece and then the top is sliced off. I don't know what demon possessed me to do this one differently.  glad you liked it, though. Thanks for the kind words.

I am thinking that is a #3 instead of a 4. #3 has that more curved handle than a 4

Just looked, #4.  May not have the original handle.

The #7 will need a new handle. Old one is broken.

I cheated Gerald. Looked at the picture via my tablet so I could "grow" the picture.:P Saw No.4 then. Saved me from posting #3 'cause that was my first response too. Sure looked like a 3.

Thanks Dave, and the daughter is an artist - at least in my mind :)  A quick story if I may...

She makes nearly 100% of all her clothes, from shoes to hats and everything in between.

A few years ago she was selected to participate in a state fashion show for new & upcoming artists.  Julie and I were in attendance and sat in the crowd with everyone else.  The first couple designers came out, one of which was a throwback to something we may have worn in the late 60's - early 70's.  Then Elizabeth's part came.  As the models were walking the runway we could hear a bunch of the folks around us talking to each other with the gist being "wow, that is nice! & I would wear that!".

Now she's taken to painting and designing furniture.  Like the entertainment center, it was here are like 10 pictures of things I like, can we take pieces and parts of all 10 and make them fit my space?  :D
