Thank you everyone. Weather was nice lower 50s and little wind. Made it easier to work outside. But I can’t wait for cold weather.

Inner dimensions are 22x44. When the build began I was wanting it to do 15x30 but the wife said that’s to small. One thing lead to another and she said go with 22x44. Last night she said, “that box is huge!” I told her, “ well it can not be taken apart now” 🤷‍♂️

 

Kev, your grandson's not likely to complain about the size. A bigger box holds more toys. 

Toyboxes are like closets, never big enough. That turned out really nice Kev.

Be happy to. I travel for my job and no one wanted to go to Erie, Pa in Jan. I said I'll go no problem. If YOU can talk my wife into swapping for those dates. DEAL!

LOL I grew up in Florida so I didn't grow up with it. Never sledded or skied. So I am still a little kid when it comes to it.

Next, sand off the over spray...the reason for the seal coat. Blow it off and hit it with the final coat(s) of finish.

 

Thanks Gene this tip worked great!!! I put some poly on it my wife stained the letters. A quick sanding and all done! 

That turned out great Kevin. Looks really great here so betting it looks awesome in person.

I'm guessing there's good reason for that. You're on your own convincing YOUR wife. Not a path I want to travel. So....good luck with that. Probably shouldn't share the tale of woes below with her...just sayin'

Well after the blizzard of '77-'78, I had my fill literally of snow. We were snowed in for 7 days...our road was gravel then; 1-1/2 mile long. It took the county using rented end-loaders and a private contractor with a D-7, Cat dozer 2 full days to open it up.

 

By open up, I mean one lane passable. That was from January to nearly mid March. That all came after one nearly as bad previously in early December when we were snowed in 5 days. That was our first winter out here.

 

But if you're still interested, I'll get the gas cans filled and the snow blower ready. I only burned 9 gallons through it last year...a quart+ at a time. Mild winter.

 

The most gas I've used in a winter since I've had the blower, was 4 or 5 years ago. That winter I used 21 gallon. We had almost 55" of snow then. Nothing of course compared to Buffalo. Record amount of snowfall for us even surpassing the blizzard winter. Add in 3 or 4 weeks in single digits evenly split above/below "0" coupled with the winds...well you get the idea...not the Winter Wonderlands depicted on Hallmark.
