This will be a support arm for heater in mother's shop.  Had some fun with paint scheme.

We're going to our son's for a midday meal that us old farm raised folks still call dinner:D. Phyl built her famous and, delicious, from scratch, lemon pie and her equally famous and, delicious Ghirardelli chocolate pie. We'll take those and, bring the remains back home for dessert after our supper! So, no shop time, today. Hit it hard tomorrow, though.

It's still dinner and supper here, too.

Thanks. Stay tuned, am working on a caulk tube holder. Had to get creative with it. Only have a space 11 inches wide and 13 inches tall. Gonna squeeze 20 tubes in that space.

Rough turned yet another pecan bowl and put it in the soapy water.  This once is roughly 10x5 and has a bit of crotch grain.

Weather turned cold and rainy.  Will try to go and see about "Bunny" (the name has to go) the Belgian Malinois tomorrow.  That name reminds me of Corporal Cupcake from M.A.S.H..

Seems right to me.. Math is correct...#2 lid + 2 pcs + 6 cauls = 10 clamps.  Glad you left the partridge and pear tree out of the equation.

I'm watching in between surfing from  OS vs Michigan & Georgia vs GT.

Multi-tasking is harder than I thought.

Forty, that is one awesome bowl.

I am missing AndrewB here with his turnings.  I hope he is well.  I know that they got tons of rain there and he may be recovering from that.

Phyl's cleaning gal tried to scoot an antique blanket chest to dust under it and, broke a leg off. So, that's a job for today. Our new furniture arrives today so, there's some furniture arranging to be done. Which will have to be done again after all the Christmas paraphernalia is put away. Might be able to get back in the shop this afternoon. I'm not holding my breath.

Ugh.  I feel your pain.  Entire house in a uproar...I could use a little less domestication in this area.

Here is my favorite Christmas Recipe just to get everyone in the spirit.  :PullingHair:

Nice job @Gunny

Tell me, did you use paint, shellac & poly on it?  If so, what was the schedule?

Yellow never seems to cover exceptional well.  I have sometimes had to use 4 coats to get past some bleed through.  Other colors like say black I have gotten away with a single coat and some touch up.

In order:

1.  Primed with oil base

2.  1st coat of yellow, oil based Rustoleum

3.  2nd coat of yellow

4.  3rd coat of yellow

5.  waited 3 days for yellow paint to cure some then wrapped lower section in tape at 45 degree angle.

6.  1st coat of black

7.  Touched up a few areas of black that had some yellow bleed through.
