Spent a little time yesterday on our poplar cabinet, I finished grooving two doors worth of rail and stile's for the raised panel doors.     I took the glued up smaller panels and

The Resaw method does look very familiar....Just my tablesaw can't quite reach THAT deep...

Looks  good from here!

Some mighty fine craftsmanship there, John.  As long as Mama is happy.

Really nice work John. True craftsmanship and awesome woodworking skills

Wow great build along John. Enjoyed catching up on this. "Momma's going to love it.

Noticed March 14th was the first post date for the project. That was my first full day back home from the hospital where I payed a complete stranger off the street a ridiculous amount of $$$'s to stab me in the back with a knife. :rolleyes:Pretty sure working in the shop was a lot more fun.

What the heck! Literally? Or? Jeez Gramps, I knew you had a challenging last couple years but? And thanks for the kudos sir!

Yes literally. Unplanned, kind of emergency back surgery. Neurologist called it an L4-L5 lumbar laminectomy as a result of severe acute spinal stenosis. That diagnosis probably drives $$$'s like "vintage" does to tools and furniture. IDK?

Anyways not fun. I'm thankful for my progress since mid March but not fully back (no pun intended) yet.

I'll do a general post soon in Free for All. Just trying to pare it down where folks don't succumb to acute, severe boredom.:P

Just curious to the latest updates.  Where is it?  What is the anticipated finish date?  What kind of finish?

Hey Steve. With any luck I'll finish the build today, then another year to paint it😁

Do we get to see?  I know Mama wanted it last season, but was hoping you got it finished and put into service.  Don't feel bad.  I was going to make some objects for a cousin last June, but with all the time I have had to spend with Ann, I hope to get started this week.  Wish me luck.

Well, it's still not finished, I have an empty day this Friday, no work, nothing, I'm going to get in the shop and get back at it. There has been a ton of stuff that needed to happen with our home first, and life, and kids, and the day job, I miss my shop :(

I hope to get this cabinet wrapped up this weekend. Mama already moved her stuff into, got tired of waiting. The cabinet is complete, yet unpainted.

BTDT John, have a few unfinished projects to show for it myself :D

Thanks for that Cal, knowing I have some fellow procrastinators in this area out there, really makes me feel not so horrible.

The old saying, "never do today what you can put off until tomorrow" is a sage adage.

Anyway, I think that's how it goes.:WonderScratch: My memory isn't what it used to be.:OldManSmiley:
