The only woodworking project is to get this one post out of the pine rocking chair back so I can clean up, bore new holes for dowels for the headrest.  Will get that all back together and put all woodworking projects on hold until I get all the mortar joints repaired.  So, will be digging out more mortar to patch.  All in preparation for painting this spring.   Ugh!  And, it's going to be in the upper 40's for the next week.  Somebody, please take back this north wind.  LOL

Did you brand before or after applying finish?   I do my branding before then lightly sand it down some.  Gives a nice crisp looking brand.

I've been in a funk since the first of the year, gray and overcast days has let cabin fever set in. The most enthusiastic part of the week came yesterday when I went and had blood work done. Time to break this fever!

Had a Wuflu test on Thursday (I refuse to refer to it as covid.)   It was negative, so does that mean I passed or should I say failed?

Remedial training required.

Just tell everyone that "I'm positive that I'm negative".

Should I be watching over my shoulder?

My plans have changed up somewhat.  I had been watching some tables at a school auction.  My impression was science tables, 30" x 60", with black tops.  Inspection was Thursday so I went up to take a look - there were two types, either a plastic composite or particle board with laminate top.  Darn - I was hoping for white oak which would have been some great panels for some future projects.  Oh well, I am glad I didn't bid on the picture only - which I do sometimes.  That would have been a heck of a reckoning had I done that!

So for Saturday, instead of trucking up to Madison for the auction - I will be staying close to home and staying out of the cold & wind.  Not all bad, I can use this time to "re-design" the first project I was planning for the table top panels.

@John Morris - consider a few of those outlets that have USB's included.  It is super handy having them where you might typically plug in a phone/laptop charger.  I used a couple in our kitchen island - super handy as that is where I have the phone charge overnight.  I also installed them either side of the bed in the MBR.  But I haven't used those because I really don't want the phone waking me up overnight everytime a message or some such comes through.

Now that is a spectacular idea! Thanks Cal, I will most certainly use a few around the home!

We need a thumbs up emoji John!  I may swap out the ones in our MBR for the plain outlets in the kid's rooms.  Since they are now basically guest rooms, they would be more useful in those bedrooms than our own.  But that's just me. :)

@Cal At least in the iphones, you turn off notifications in the settings app.  I think it defaults to between 10 pm and 7 am, but you can set it to your preferences.

I wish I would have thought of that for the shed oh well no matter.  At least I got my lathe bolts this morning canceled the order on amazon and got them for 3 bucks next door.  So a far better deal.  In the short run of things my sharpening jig should be here at some point this morning so it will be set up of that as well should be interesting to do.  I'm just hoping that the bench grinder itself will sit up high enough that I wont need to raise the  grinder up itself an inch.

I prefer "China Virus".

If you had the test because you are feeling ill another test in a few days may come back positive.  Hope you are well.

Thank you. No symptoms, stress test next week, as if surviving 2020 wasn’t a sufficient test!  Apparently a requirement.

I made lamps with such an outlet built into the base. Just another idea and approach.

Granddaughter likes Squishmallows.  I should have made a bigger bed.
