I'm not too sharp. What's a snipping tool?  And, what's a png?

Gene ,

You'll find it listed under Windows Accessories. It allows you to capture what you see on your screen. You can capture the whole screen, or only the part you want. PNG is a file format similar to jpg. jpeg., etc.

For quick access I added a shortcut for it to the bottom tool bar.

Alright the old copy and paste into a word document and save as whatever you want.

My computer is 2013 edition don't see the snipping tool anywhere, could do a print screen and save it that way to I guess.

Pat, the snipping too on 2013 will be in your Windows "accessories" folder. It's a great tool.

Thanks, guys. When I get to the real computer...not this kindle..I'll look for that accessories folder. My goodness, the things a guy can learn, here on TPW.

When you find it, right click and install a shortcut for it to the tool bar.

That way you won't have to look for it again.

It's a workpiece you made about 1 inch too short.   Measure once, cut twice.  :throbbinghead:

Makes perfect sense now.  Kinda like these shortcuts my Dad makes, that add 3 hours to the trip.  :D

When you find it, right click on it and you will get the option of installing a shortcut (Icon) on the toolbar. After that all you have to do is click on the Icon.

That is a lot of tasks, I am tired just looking at it.  How does the computer feel about all this work?:D

Not to sure about this Toolbar thing.  Mine is probably from HF, it was cheaper.

Those are just shortcuts to the task you want to do. Eliminates having to go through the menu every time you want to use that feature. They are inactive until you click on them.

Correct, just click once, and the program is active.
