October 10, 20196 yr Then, there is the Dungeon Workbench.. . 5' long, when the end vise is closed. Since 90% of the work is on this end of the vise, leg vise is also down here. There is a Crochet at the far end, to hold LONG pieces for jointing. Apron is a 5/4 x 5" that I can c clamp items to....Cabinet and shelf are options....Yes, there is a tool well....comes in handy, to keep items from bouncing off the side of the bench, or chisels from rolling away. Chisel rack across the back of the bench, as I don't have the room in the shop to work from both sides of the bench... YMMV...
October 10, 20196 yr I think it took me two years to decide what I wanted and then to design and acquire the white oak to build this one and I cannot even pick up one end . I do not know but would guess it weighs in over 300. Plan is a amalgam of Wood, Family Handyman and Popular Mechanics benches and the some of my own design to pull it all together. Top is 3 layers 3/4 MDF trimmed in white oak and 1/4 Masonite top cover. Before adding drawer unit.
October 10, 20196 yr @Gerald, Nice workbench! How big is that? I need to make a couple of benches, well actually machine stands that I can roll. They need to be able to go over the wheel wells in my trailer shop when in the storage position.

October 10, 20196 yr And my recently completed Monster Work and Assembly table. 48"x96"x38" Complete with 19 drawers (repurposed from wine display cabinet at a closed up Sam's Club -- sorry, no Systainers ) and Emmert Patternmaker's Vise. Tape labels on drawers are until I decide on a final layout. From right to left on drawers -- routers & bits, drills and bits, sanders, planes, chisels, glue, F-clamps, Zyliss vise. Heavy hardware (screws, nuts & bolts) across the bottom. I lucked out, the HF storage boxes that I've used for hardware fit perfectly in the drawers. Me like. Edited October 10, 20196 yr by kmealy

Now how did that happen. Never mind, fire the maid that you have doing it post haste. Or we may have to rethink your membership in the Brotherhood of Sawdust....
