I was wondering the same thing. But, knowing John, he's got a plan.

Something small guys, half the size, I'll hook up directly to the accessories I am using at the time. My shop vac will work for now but eventually I'll purchase perhaps the small SS collection. Small footprint etc, or something similar. But for now, the shopvac will do, and perhaps with the use the Shopsmith will get, I may be happy with just the shop vac and never go back to a dedicated DC system. But for sure, the ducting days are over.

This Rockwell Delta 15" drill press has been a good machine, but it is ready for a new home. I purchased this press 15 years ago, and outfitted it with a Rockler's table. It's been a great machine, bu

Well the dust collector walked out of here yesterday with a retired Navy man. He came with his son and they both loaded it all up in their pickup. He owns a cycle shop in town, and he is building a 1600 sqft wood shop behind his establishment.

So far, all the gents who have come to give my machines a new home, I have been very happy with, how fitting, a Navy veteran! And, I have invited each of these woodworkers to our community here, I hope they check in and say howdy.

Cheers!

I'll be interested in how you rig your SS for a DC. In my shop"DC" means dust CONTAINMENT. I've tried a bunch of SS approved/suggested methods for dust collection. All were less than satisfactory. Finally resorted to a couple Dollar store 35 gallon plastic containers under the saw. Not perfect, but it's less broom work.

A Shark Guard would probably help. But, that's another apparatus to move around.

Wow, you are really serious about this.

No doubt it has found a good home and somebody is getting a well cared for machine.

Now take this for what it’s worth, due to my so little SS usage, but the Shark Guard SUBSTANTIALLY reduced the sawdust after tablesaw use for me.

Artie, is yours on a stand or hung from the floor joists?

Hung from the floor joists, held by the Missus, if She makes a mistake and enters my domain while I’m working, just draped up and over, I think that about covers it.
