Words are not enough! However, this is what results from passion and enjoyment. Congrats to you and Phyl, Gene.

  • @Cal, THE GLASS FITS!!! Some trimming of the ends, purposely left a tad long. Next are the legs, then the finish. But, now I can uncross my fingers and toes.

Preston, Fred , Bill, many thanks, guys.

Bill, don't know about the passion but, I do have fun. Well, I guess I've always been passionate about having fun. ;)

Well, how'd the delivery go? Everything make it OK? I have to assume it was well received and is now proudly on display with a big sign, DO NOT TOUCH!:P

Everything made the trip without a hitch. The glass was wrapped in two blankets then sandwiched between two pieces of shelving material and all secured with packing tape. It rode on the truck's back seat floor board.

The table rode upside down on a cushion of carpet, surrounded by 1 1/2" foam in the bed of the truck.

The family was very happy. The table is at home in the family room on a white tiled floor. Looks good.

Both son and wife are very presnickity. No sign needed.
