  • @Cal, THE GLASS FITS!!! Some trimming of the ends, purposely left a tad long. Next are the legs, then the finish. But, now I can uncross my fingers and toes.

Thank you, John. However there is no way that table is near the class and skill level of the talented folks on this forum. For instance, your Maloof rockers. Now, that's talent.

But wait,      did I miss the grand pouring of the epoxy..  I been sick and don't feel but I thought I was turning it on to your channel every day..

Holy cow Gene. "A river does run through it!"

Beautiful piece of furniture!

Looking forward to seeing the progression to the finished piece.

I just heard on another post that the word Awesome was overused.  Cannot help it, this piece is AWESOME and getting awesomer* every day!!!

*not to be confused with how long it takes me to do my typical projects, awesomer long!:)

Kinda got the cart before the horse, here. The legs aren't built yet but, I went ahead and put the first coat of Watco on the mesquite. Just had to see what it was gonna look like. Man, that mesquite is beautiful. It's going to dry for a few days till we get back from Tucson. Then, I'll build the legs and give them a coat. Then, I can dry fit every thing for another progress picture.

Gene I was worried about the temperature in your area. Epoxy is better worked in the summer. Didn't want you to make a big mess...

Jesse, for me, messes aren't seasonal. :o

Gene you could crumple up tin foil under the glass and have the same effect epoxy would give you under the glass?
