Good Monday Morning folks!

What's on your woodworking agenda for the week ahead, and what did you get done in the shop over the weekend!

My son and I worked on his science project for school. So we knocked our heads together and came up with an age old test, End grain or Edge grain, Which Provides the Strongest Glue Joint? We assembled his experiment, and performed the test, and now he is creating the display board that all the science is displayed on and his research along with some photos of the actual experiment, one image seen below, guess which glue joint won?

The break test that was performed for each joint.

So, tell us how your weekend went, and what you got planned ahead, woodworking, or not! Thank you all for being here.

Went to the wood stash Saturday and brought over some Cherry, Maple and White Oak so as I can, I have material to start working with. Should start cutting out some cutting boards this week.

Slow but but sure I'll be making some sawdust this week!

John,

Did you guys measure the force it took to break the joint?

As for me, I finally got some shop time. Built the drawers for the router table cabinet. It was not highly productive, but at least I was able to get out there!

Spent the weekend relaxing and shopping. Today will be more productive, maybe. At least the new lumber is doing it's thing...drying.

Dreamer!

John

Not anything out in the shop this weekend.

Have (had) over 2' of snow in the yard. Temps got into the mid 40* and it started to melt. The ground has heaved and now it's higher than the back door so guess where the water wanted to go!

Between the shop vac and a sump pump got it under control. Thing of it was, I had to pump and vacuum ever 1/2 hr. You talk about being short of sleep!!!

Harry, sounds like a big problem. Hope you get it graded, soon. And, you gt some sleep soon.

You have to ride a donkey to get there.  Ask Allen Worsham's wife.

Went to a friend's funeral this morning. Working on shields to go in front of club lathes for demos and then on to turn something.

Condolences for your friend.  Good friends are hard to come by.

Sorry to hear about your friend, my condolences
