New Turning Items-

New item from Niles Bottle Stoppers.

2025-07-30 20_04_27-Decorative Loops - Niles Bottle Stoppers.png

Stainless steel decorative loop

The decorative loops work great for key chains, Christmas ornaments, and attaching a cord to a bottle opener so that you can hang it.

They are made from solid 304 Stainless Steel with the same 3/8″-16 threads stud as all of our other stoppers and openers. They work great with our stainless steel inserts. The cross hole is 1/8″ diameter with a overall length of 7/8″.

Everything Else-

Safe turning

Nice post Lew. Raffin really has a steady hand to cut a rim like that.

I have no idea what's ahppening here, but the Yoder video on tails appear like the first shot below, when I hit the play button I get audio but no video. Then the Yoder video for the gouges appear like the second shot below. Now on this one when I click the arrow it plays, no audio but captioned with big letters (I guess that's how it's supposed to be) The Yoder video for the detailer tool appears just like this, as i type I haven't tried to play it yet.

Edit: I just tried to play the deatiler video and it played with no audio, but the large caption.

@Fred W. Hargis Jr Thanks for the heads up on the videos, Fred. Many of the turners are using "TikTok" and "Instagram" for their platform to show the short videos. YouTube videos will post directly to The Patriot but I'm having trouble getting the other platforms to post here. I will try to do better on checking the playbacks.

That's OK Lew, I thought it might be something with the server change; or my Mac.

I sure it's something I did wrong in download/converting to videos. I appreciate your feedback. It really helps me.

Apologies to all who had difficulties watching some of the videos in the post. Seems the "Shorts" type videos are becoming more popular and also creators are making more use of TikTok and Instagram platforms. Some of these are not directly linkable to the posts as we can do with YouTube. I'm trying to find a work-a-round.

@HandyDan  Thank You!

@Gerald  Thanks!

@John Morris  Thank You!

@Fred W. Hargis Jr  Thanks for the feedback on the videos!
