Popular Post steven newman Posted March 15 Popular Post Report Posted March 15 Every woodworking site out there...they always talk about it...and how only certain $$$$ tools could deal with it....so.. We are about to find out IF such is true..or just someone trying to sell me tools.. Here we go... Will be trying to find some actual use for these four Ash planks...3/4 x 6" x 4' more of less..a look at the other side? These 4 can from 2 longer planks..and were then sent through a Lunch Box Planer...BEFORE I got to buy them. This is half of the remaining planks I have on hand... This should be FUN? Stay tuned.... Popular Post steven newman Posted March 16 Author Popular Post Report Posted March 16 1 hour in the shop..cutting and a-ripping...8 bft soon became about 3 bft... The Good.. these are all 3/4" x 3-1/2" width..might have enough to glue up a panel.. Maybe a Raised Panel..and make the door frame to house it? The "Bad".. Note the one edge..? I could resaw this to that 1/2" thick edge..it is that thing in the center, that I do not like.. Then, some were just plain "The Ugly" Which soon found a new home... Have a pile that needs cut down to fit the Fire Pit.. Area between me shoulders is kind of Crampy at the moment... Time to just chill out, for a bit.. I think that will do, for today.. Stay tuned JWD, Handfoolery, Larry Buskirk and 9 others 12 Quote

Popular Post steven newman Posted March 17 Author Popular Post Report Posted March 17 Next up...will be hauling these three 1 x 6 x 5' planks to the shop... To start on a replacement for the too small/shallow DVD Cabinet.. Because.. The cases are too big for this older Cabinet...and would not let the door shut all the way closed... Stay tuned.. Harry Brink, Larry Buskirk, lew and 7 others 10 Quote
Popular Post DAB Posted March 17 Popular Post Report Posted March 17 strictly speaking, you have 2 variables in that equation. first - depth of cabinet; second, depth of case. you could....ahem.....(hang in there, some bad advice is coming up shortly)....reduce the depth of each case, using your TS and fence set just so...... i'll show myself out..... lew, steven newman, Larry Buskirk and 4 others 7 Quote

Popular Post steven newman Posted March 18 Author Popular Post Report Posted March 18 Sides of the new cabinet will be around 8" deep... 1 hour in the shop, today.. Milled a top and a bottom panel..trying for best grain match... Same with the side panels...one at 5-1/2" wide, the other at 2-1/4" wide.. Stanley No. 6c to joint the edges before the glue ups.. 2 sides have been glued up...about 26" in length..and.. The bottom shelf and the top of the case.. Let this sit a day... Might have enough for the door... Frame.. And other parts... Waiting to see what size Raised Panel I am going to need... Stay tuned.. Fred W. Hargis Jr, FrederickH, lew and 8 others 11 Quote

Popular Post BillyJack Posted March 19 Popular Post Report Posted March 19 (edited) I won’t drink it. My son in law drinks it and weird stuff. Guess I’m a girly man as I like Coors Banquet. JWD Posted March 20 Report Posted March 20 I'll drink Coors Banquet too. Not really one for the light beers, but it's still beer so I'll drink it. I'm not big on IPA's, mostly because I'm ornery and I avoid the stuff all the kids rave about HARO50, DuckSoup and steven newman 2 1 Quote
