Everything Else-

Trying to use up those little pieces of wind shake cherry by making tiny vases for Mimi. I tried pure beeswax on these an buffed them with an old T-shirt but they feel sticky. I think I will burnish them with shavings, again, and see what they look like. I have some Hampshire Sheen wax that might be better. 

 

My predicament now is how to reverse chuck them, to finish the bottoms. The entry holes are not identical in diameter. Thinking on making an expandable piece to fit into the holes The piece will need to be adjustable to take care of the minor variations in diameter.

I don't suppose you could be lucky enough the ID's would match up close with something like THESE?

Thanks, Dave! Something like that was what I was thinking about. I need to be more precise working through the opening to keep each one the same size 

Thanks for the mention Lew. As to the bottoms turn a jamb chuck with hole to fit the top of the vase . Then Bring up the tailstock with a long dowell in the live center to give pressure to bottom of vase. Second option is to carve with a power carver or sand with snall sanding devices which fit Dremel.

@Gerald  and @Grandpadave52  Thank You!  I have this trait that always fails to follow the "KISS" philosophy and always over-engineer everything. My little shop is crammed full of Rube Goldberg jigs that were used once. Most, I've forgotten what they were for and/or how to use them. I did take Gerald's advice and make a jam type chuck. Sized the dowl as needed, starting with the largest diameter first.
