Just a neat and fun shop share video, I thought folks would like to see how other folks do it, this gent has some wonderful explanations on why he does what he does. Enjoy!

Had planned to spend the day playing with the scroll saw. Married guys aren't often allowed to make plans.:( SWMBO is busy removing the old colonial base from the 40' hallway. Instead of scrolling, I'll be miter cutting new bases to match what we installed on the new flooring last week. Don't have the new base yet. She's volunteered to make the trip to HD to pick it up. Oh Lordy, I hope they still stock the same stuff we bought for the living room, kitchen and dining area. Right now, I'm removing nails from the old base pieces. I use them as models for the new base cuts. As you know I HATE TAPE MEASURES!

The wife has jury duty today so I am holding down the fort, working, playing with puppies,  and contemplating my next project.

Hardware for the sharpening station drawers came in so I need to get those put together as well.

Working the J.O.B. this week.  661 days to retirement.  Trying to keep a positive attitude about it.

Thinking through the freezer kiln build.  Hope to get that online next weekend.  This is the last of the planned shop improvement projects I've been working on over the last year.

That's a long "short timers" chain!

Mimi's knee surgery went well but I'm still TAD for galley duty, coop cleaning and dog sitting for the next couple of weeks, at least.

:ChinScratch:Need to get the motivation going, still a bit stiff after loading the Stepsons Cobalt onto the tow-dolly. Think it was that last push trying to get it over the strap brackets before the Stepsons neighbor saw and helped us "3 Stooges" get it the 4th or 5th try. Didn't feel it until after we were done. :OldManSmiley:

Busy week ahead. Meeting at church tonight and Wednesday night. Hope to get Buick back in for driveability test Wednesday AM. All indications are the torque-converter is failing. Then an appointment for repair.

Received a call late morning today from a shipping company. Set-up tomorrow afternoon for delivery of the Ward 57 drawing gift. WOW, Laguna is amazing and delivers customer service. Tomorrow AM will be re-arranging things in garage to store unit until warmer weather prevails. Garage is a mess. Wish it were warmer. Still, very exciting. SIL is off work so he's going to help.

Some other errands in between including a new battery for my truck.

Moving a bit better this morning, had to let everything "Snap, Crackle, & Pop" itself back into place.

@Gerald - You are likely out of surgery by now, prayers that everything went well and that you are A-OK in short order.

@lew - Glad to hear that Mimi is recovering well, that you will soon be back in the saddle with us.

I've been puttering along on a dozen different projects and tasks.  One ongoing project has been a dresser for our daughter.  Yesterday I got the drawers installed, had to massage one of the 14.  Today I may get the drawer fronts cut out.

In other goings on this week, your defending National Champion Georgia Bulldogs played TCU for the crown last night.  Georgia finished the season with an exclamation mark!!!

It has been a great season to be a Dawg fan

For @Cal

TCU had to be wondering....

Got a needlework framed for the Mrs.  In the evening a Menards run for the theater shop.  We had a pipe freeze just before Xmas and ended up with about an inch of water all over the floor before it was discovered.   Got some paneling, drywall, adhesives, 1x4s, anti-mold primers, new GFCI outlets, etc.  Another $1400 worth of stuff.  Going in Tuesday evening to do some reconstruction work.

Menards is having their "bag sale."  The guy at the next register was buying a safety green jacket.  I offered him my bag so he'd get the 15% off.   His clerk was adamant that she could roll it up enough to fit in the bag!   SMH.

And the year-end tax forms are starting to roll in.  Glad I have someone who's a retired EA and CPA on staff.

I actually got mine done today. I'll mail the forms tomorrow. I might opt to do the state stuff on line....but I really dislike doing that. I should point out, our only income (besides SS) is the draws I make from our IRAs, the 1099s showed up (on line) today. We have such simple taxes anymore (no deductions worth itemizing) it doesn't take long to do them.
