I have an LN Tapered Dovetail saw that I have used for other reasons than DT's, but I still had to use a baseline as he talks about in this video, and I can say, it truly works, you only need to focus on the front visible side of the board, with no worries for blowing through the line on the opposite side, it truly does work. @PostalTom

Trying to finish Marie's drink table (small TV tray) that her finger surgery necessitated. Planned on yard stuff, but the rainy weather stopped that.

Too much fresh air yesterday is contributing to a slooow start today. Weather forecast pretty much negates outside work this coming week. Grass has come to life and likely will need first mowing within the next 10-12 days but there is a forrest of small limbs, sticks etc. to be harvested first as well as equipment to be serviced. Oriole feed Station needs cleaned, placed out and stocked.

Hope to get some garage time in on a couple days. Cleaning & organizing the disaster zone mainly. A couple meetings at church, a much dreaded trip to Waldo-World and a few other errands this week.

Pretty basic and boring compared to what most of you will accomplish. Regardless, BE SAFE! An accident is always looking for a place to happen!

In the process of stretching some one by sixes by eights to  eleven feet needed to replace a worn transition  strip between the tiled kitchen and the wood floor in the dining room. It may be an exercise  in futility as Phyl  wants tile in the dining room and adjacent living room. But, that's a ways off and, the present strip is looking pretty shabby.

Working on this jig for my dados and finger joints. Had a mock up I had been experimenting with I've used for past few months.  Took all back apart and off to finishing room.

Did a little more with the Celtic knot turnings. The concept works, however, spacing/positioning part still needs fine tuning.

Cool Lew. What's the accent wood to I assume walnut. Looks like curly maple?

I'd go all out asymmetrical. This is, after all, the Age of Aquarius.

Saturday was spent working on the second day of construction for the theater set.  Got the outside sign done for that show, put some sides and risers on one of the props, attached trellis to a rolling platform (after adding wheels), built a 10x8 wall and attached to rolling platform.  Worked on six 2x2x6 towers.

Sunday had some meeting stuff to do.

Monday I got a picture frame put together.  Third try.  First was great until the last piece needed two more inches.  Found some more wood and tried to rabbet the back.  Ugh, it had twists and warps once the rabbets got cut.  To the kindling pile. Found a nice piece of cherry, did a profile, rabbetted, mitered and assembled.   One more to do.

And 500 pegs arrived for game boards I'm making for charity in Appalachia.  Reclaimed some unused stair treads. and cut them down to about 11x15.  Each board will have 4 hole patterns (two on each side) with a total of 7 ancient games from around the world.

Maple but not curly. It was 3 narrow strips edge glued to create the inserts.

Same here. Especially when there’s a fresh zweibelkuchen pie on the table.

It's moving day.

Time to pull the table saw out of the basement and put it in the barn for the summer.

I spent the weekend cleaning the barn out of all the stuff that was dumped there during the winter.

Yesterday I sorted hardware and put it into a large Pigeon Hole Cabinet. I still have a couple buckets of hardware to go.
