February 3, 20224 yr Popular Post comment_283217 No, not the band, today's little project. neighbor has a new little boy, and a kitchen island (mobile) without doors to hide the stuffs. so i'm building her some doors to hide the stuffs from soon to be very curious little boy. 4 doors required, 2 pairs of 2. the insert will be punched metal, using designs she is working on, and then done with tools I already have. they will be painted, so Poplar is the go to wood. cost was $3.81/linear foot for 1x6, so almost $8/BF. Faint. Walnut was running around $20/BF. and I needed 12 feet of lumber. so much for cheap favors. got the pieces and parts cut, so they are gluing over night, more tomorrow. Report

February 4, 20224 yr Popular Post comment_283302 Clamp envy, Gene? Wait until you see my Pony 3/4" pipe clamps with c.1927 brass pipe But I only have two. The 1/2" one, the head swivels too much for me. Beautiful effort, DAB. Can you show us the corner joints? I've built one two-panel "partition" using mortise • tenon joints, <mumbling> cut on a table saw. Holding up so far but have a feeling the correct corner joint is routed?
