Good Monday morning!

Good Monday morning Patriot Woodworkers! What did you get done over the weekend, and what have you planned for the week ahead! Inquiring minds want to know. Please tell us what's happening in your shops, your life, and any events going on with you. Thank you for being here folks!

Personally I didn't get much done in the shop at all this weekend, we have been tied up with Mom's passing and getting her affairs squared away, it's a lot of work! I know many here have been there done that. :)

But between all of that, we get to spend some time with our new family member "Lady".

Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead, stay safe, and be well!

A handsome beast, indeed, John.

Phyl and I have a marriage to officiate today. Frank is about to be wedded to his latest fling. He'll see his new bride as soon as it gets daylight. I'm thinking this one will be permanent. As with any new union, some adjustments will be in order. Shorty, his little brother, will remain saddled with his his long time off and, on mate. Only to be separated when he has drilling duties. She just gets in the way.

As soon as Frank's wedding ceremony is concluded, we'll move on to the consummation. Gotta make sure everything fits, ya know.

The new bride will likely be delegated to the finer work while her older sister does the big stuff, for which she's well equipped. The new gal will get the fine work Carter guide system that has been languishing in the box, just waiting to be of service. I think the new bride will be a great addition to the family.

The only thing I accomplished over the weekend was to get my taxes done. Then, to make sure things I do always have a mistake, I misspelled Marie's name on the state tax returns (we have the honor of doing 2 in Ohio, one for state income tax, the second (or more) for the school district income tax...if you voted it in). Instead of Marie, I typed Marue. :PullingHair: You can't correct such things after you hit the submit button, so I have to wait until they are processed and ask for the mistake to be corrected.

We're still waiting on various income statements but, we've got everything else ready to go to the accountant. We've always used Turbotax but, last year, we tried this guy. He's cheaper and faster than I am with TT and, we don't have to fuss with it.

Well nothing as exciting and romantic as @Gene Howehas going on in his neck of the woods here in the Midwest.

Saturday was a looong day at the on-line auction. Lots began closing at 1P, EST...it was still dinging away close to 7P. Fortunately most of my items were earlier on but still had to hang around until after 4P. "Won" a few, most not. Amazing what some folks are willing to pay. One pretty good buy IMO for someone. A newer Delta 10" Unisaw, 52" Delta fence system with full width mobile base sold for $585. Something new, one had to request a specific PU time. I assume b/c of COVID restrictions?  Anyways my scheduled pick-up time is tomorrow at 4:30P; just a short drive from home.

Also have a funeral to attend tomorrow early afternoon. MIL of one of our Deacons. Again b/c of current COVID restrictions, family only at the funeral home, so will attend livestream services with others at our church.

Nothing much else of significance to report.

Working on a insert for work toolbox. Had to manufacturer couple special wrench holders. The rest used standard holders.  Once this insert has couple more coats off to my toolbox it goes

On the pup front, both of mine had their vet visit for vaccinations this weekend, Valley clocked in at 74 lbs and CPT. Wiggles tipped the scales at 95.

Plans for the upcoming week include building some more shop furniture and continuing organization and dust collection efforts.

Prayers for you Gerald. Not something to rush. R&R takes some time and varies greatly.

Just got done in the shop...kind of sore, right now.   Laundry Detail does not help the back any, either...

Sitting here, watch it snow flurry..sitting with a heating pad on my back.  Woodworking tasks for today are done..

Getting the pictures edited in a bit...cold pizza ( leftovers!) for supper...will see about a cold Guinness in a little bit...

You should take a look out OUR windows! 2' a week ago, another 7-8" already today, and it doesn't look like it wants to stop anytime soon!

Assume that would be preferred versus looking in your windows? Down here, actions like that usually draw crowds of cars with blue & red flashing lights.;)

Got 2 cherry handles turned and almosted sanded for finish. Today was busy. Nurses came, a bather, changed the bed and did the 2 loads of laundry. Grocery shopping ( short list) and prepare dinner. Tomorrow will go by the bank and have skin surgery in right hand. Will get and post pictures of the cherry bed legs which became handles. Wednesday is a repeat of today. Thursday I hope for a nap. :P
