Not completely motivated but much better. Funny but the first couple days doing a little in the shop my back felt like I had lifted a lot of weight and sore as all get out.
January 21, 20224 yr Popular Post Earlier this week my wife asked me if I still had the LV gift card I got two Christmases ago. As a result, I am now waiting for the UPS van to pull into the driveway. Estimated to get here SOMETIME TODAY!
January 21, 20224 yr Popular Post Getting things worked out with a potential employer. Haggling some over pay, but get to keep same scheduled days. But less hours. Only 0800-17:30 with 1 hour lunch. Not 8-6 and 30 min or less lunch.

I've been considering a set for my old Craftsman TS too. Good decision on the mudding. Always best to put off today what you can do tomorrow or Sunday

January 21, 20224 yr Popular Post Putting off home remodeling is a way of life here. Back in the day I worked for Serve-pro cleaners. We were doing some work at this guys house who had convinced his wife that you HAD to age wall paper before you put it on the wall. He went so far as to build an aging rack that fit on top of their upright freezer to age the rolls.
January 21, 20224 yr Popular Post Sometimes I wish these dealer service managers could listen to a recording of themselves offering a job. Guy tells me $21.50 is BEST he can do with my LIMITED skill set. Let's review my resume he has copy of: 31 years experience. 27 years as Master ASE Technician with L1 advanced drivability certificate. 5 years at a Toyota Dealer. This so called best offer is 1/3 less than what a retail place just offered. I haven't been offered less than $34 an hour by any other place. Sorry, I had to do it. Told him I would sleep on it and get back with him next week.

She got a few things for gardening, and some of the LV shopping bags that she likes to use as gift bags. I've got another gift card with some $ left on it for Busy Bee Tools. They carry somewhat more affordable tools than LV, and have a couple of items on sale that interest me. I may take a drive early next week! Edited January 21, 20224 yr by HARO50
January 21, 20224 yr Sticker shocker at Lowes,today....one, they were out of the 1/2" x 6 x 36" clear Pine....two, there WERE 4 boards in the Red oak bin....looked over the Poplar stuff....my fingers looked straighter. Decided to buy three of the red oak boards.....1/2" x 6" x 48"....tossed the 4th one back into the bin...wasn't going to be making Long Bows..at least those other 3 were straight. Check-out....$22 and change PER board! OUCH! Even with me Military 10% discount, came to over $64! There went the wood budget until March..... Have to wait and see what I can build with this mess....letting it sit a day or two, first....
