Just another "Manic Friday" here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" folks. <_<

Believe it or not the new condensate return pump decided to start making a squealing bearing sound last night. :Tapping:

Not a bad job to change, but the roughly hour trip each way to go get it is double how long it takes to change. :(

Also still crawling through the steam tunnels trying to figure out which steam valve or trap is still randomly sticking. :WonderScratch:

:ChinScratch: yhpruM says it wasn't him, :WhoMe:and that he's still recovering from our little encounter in the west steam tunnel. :Punched:

 Not sure if I should believe him but when he saw the 24" pipe wrench in my hand he almost fainted. ;)

So I know what I'll be doing.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well.

This AM I want to get the shadow box ready and take to the glass shop.  I applied Watco to it yesterday, so the color is nice, plan to give it a coat or two, or three of wiping poly early next week.

So, for the weekend - I plan to start my next project.  I picked up three window sashes at an auction a week or so ago.  I want to start with one and see what I can do with it.  All the glass is good.  I picked up a pan and lid at the Goodwill, I am going to see if I can steam the glazing to allow removal of the glass without breaking it.  I would like to get the sash to have an old weatherbeaten appearance.  When I pick up the shadowbox glass I want to drop off the sash to have some mirrors cut to replace some of the glass.

I had big plans...brunch, bubblebath, maybe a pedicure  (cough, cough, ackkkkk) but I'm having a gout attack. Funny thing, it's in the little finger of my right hand and boy, howdy does it hurt. Never had one in the spot before but I'm blessed (according to my podiatrist) with the ability to have a gout attack in any joint on my body. Lucky me....anyway, any real plans I had are on hold.

Expecting a visit from my half sister, her hubby and dog, sometime this evening. They are coming from WY via MD????

Tomorrow, will be a visit and, meal with Paul (masonsailor). Looks like our son will be on his own fitting his drawers in his vanity.

Sunday, I hope to be back to resawing and planing all that rough walnut for the tables I've been trying to build. :BangingHead:

Sounds like the USPS is involved with the trip planning.

Watching a couple on-line auctions that both close tomorrow. One is probably already over for me as the two items I was following are already at 75% of new. Other still shows some promise and even better, Pick-Up location is relatively close by.

Youngest grand-daughter has a Quad swim meet tomorrow in NW corner of the state. It will be her 1st time ever swimming the 1650 (yd) freestyle. She has done well swimming freestyle distances so far this year breaking into top 10 school bests in 400, 500, 800 (2nd best all-time), & 1000. Meet will be live-streamed but time conflict with auction close so...????

Sunday school/ church on Sunday, lunch out afterwards, maybe a couple of errands...will have to see how much of the predicted s@#w we get during the AM.

As always, if you're fortunate enough to have heat in your shops to work, keep hands and fingers at least 4" away from spinning steel, wear safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, no rings, dangling jewelry and if you're blessed to have hair, especially long hair, keep it tied back.

Used to remember when it being a Friday meant something good.....Plasti_pak, working every other weekend, soon cured me of that....:ArguingSmileys:

IF car will thaw out later ( it is a balmy 15 degrees outside) maybe a trip to Lowes?    Boss wants to look at house plants...I want a few more 1 x 6 Craft Project boards..:ChinScratch:...we'll see...

After that?   As little as I can get away with...even less IF the Boss allows it..:GoodNight:....if not, I can always go hide out in the shop....:SaluteandRun:

Mimi had her knee replace (one more to go). In the OR 30 minutes. Walked out the next day. About 2 weeks of desk duty. Still doing physical therapy a couple of time a week. She said the worst part was driving restrictions while on pain meds.

The surgeon wants to scrape the meniscus to remove the calcium deposits.  No mention of a replacement thus far.  Might be worthwhile to ask that question since this will be the 3rd surgery on that knee.

For the record, there was no trauma or injury.  Fine one day and busted the next.

Man! I sure hope your knee problem can be alleviated this go around. I'd push for a replacement. probably a better option in the long run.

Phyl has a knee and shoulder replacement. Both were due to accidents. The knee got boogered up in a car wreck. The shoulder was a result of a fall out of our camper. Of the two, the knee was the shortest recovery time. She was walking the second day out of the OR. With the shoulder, she had to wear a sling for about 3 weeks. And, she lost quite a bit of range of motion. The knee is about 10 years old with no problems.

Back in full swing in shop. Got the parts ready for assembly of the steps am making for church . All sanded and sized. Steps are not my forte so this is a first. I used treated stringers and am really wishing I had just used hardwood now that I look at it but I think it will work. Pics at 11
