I wish it could make items "solid" so I could design 3-D lathe projects like the one Frank Howarth did in "Wednesday's..." post. Edited December 16, 20214 yr by lew

I can learn lots of stuff on the PC but this seems to take way too much time to tell me what I already know. Your turnings show that you have designer's eye. I, OTOH, have to build something before I can judge it's worthiness. SU can help me save time and materials. I hope.

January 5, 20224 yr Author Popular Post The box is finished. Sides are 3/8” wormy red oak, top 1/2” walnut and bottom 1/4” plywood. No hinges, top lifts off. Held in place by 1/8” strips around the inside of the top that extend down inside the lower portion. Little oval detail just to recognize the front from the back. Built to protect my new laser engraver.
January 5, 20224 yr Popular Post Excellent flatwork for a woodspinner. Now you're going to have to fire up that new laser and burn some fancy artwork into that fancy box. No pressure...I've got the rest of the winter for you to get it done
January 5, 20224 yr Author @Gerald thanks! @Grandpadave52 thanks! I still need lots of practice. It will probably take that long
January 5, 20224 yr Nice work @lew At first glance that oval to tell the front looks suspiciously like a dark stained wood biscuit.
