Welp, Marie is into full-blown baking for the holiday mode. When you're handicapped you have to start early. That, in turn, increases my household duties as I try to accommodate her "hobby". For examp

We are getting one of these here in town. They bought the old K-Mart building and are in the process of renovating it. It's just a block away, so I can foresee many visits there.

You'll  love it Lew. Buy all my jeans, flannel shirts, work socks, coffee, well you get the idea, there. Great in the spring too for garden plants, seeds and so on. You have to be careful and just pace yourself or expand your credit line.:P  I much prefer over TSC for most things. I wish this one wasn't 40 minutes away.

We do have a similar farm supply store in our county seat, formerly Big R. When it was Big R, I frequented it about weekly. They sold out a couple of years ago then new owner went Chapter 7. A new company took over and re-opened all stores but I've yet to go in. I actually wrote a letter to RK suggesting they consider opening a store locally. I never heard back.

Yesterday, it was Monday.  What happened to all the week days?  Oh, that's right, doctors took 3 days.

Today, I got a couple hours of therapy.  Had cut the cedar to the width, but today, sanded all the saw marks off, then used a bandsaw to split from 1" to 1/2" thickness, then cut tenons and mortises to fit.  Need a little trim, but I would rather do the trim because it is hard to put new wood back.

Lew, I like that the store is close to your house.  What a great excuse for your daily walk and you actually get the exercise.  That could be your daily therapy.  LOL

Gunny, that power strip is awesome.  I could use one of them for my wife's Christmas village made of porcelain.  She loves it and I need to get on the ladder and clean it.

Plans for Sunday to trim the boards to fit, then use the biscuit cutter to make a groove to insert the masonite bottom.  Then build a lid and decide if it will be hinged or lifted completely.  Options.

Oh, btw, wife is doing better.  No longer need the oxygen pump.  Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.

My Mother had it in the house and wanted a smaller one.  I made her a custom one from a damaged one someone gave me.  Figured she would appreciate my reuse of it.

I forgot to mention, the ammo. Largest supply I had seen there in over a year. 9mm, .223, 380, 45ACP, even 30-06 besides largest cache of 22LR I've seen. Best prices of anyone local too.

@DAB, prayers for you and your wife that she makes a complete recovery with no side effects.  I remember the days when Ann took chemo.  Ugh!

One more day of demo at the Ag Museum. This has been our best sales week ever. Looks like my sales are three time by best before this.

Thats great to hear Gerald! Any speculations why? Larger crowds? Buyers showing more interest for quality, hand produced items? Just curious on your take.

Phyl spent all day Thursday, baking cookies. Ended up with 8 different batches. Iced pumpkin, oatmeal chocolate chip, peanut butter with a big Candy Kiss on top, straight peanut butter, black walnut, sugar cookies and, a batch of pecan balls. We're set for the holidays... Cookie wise.

Friday, we did some River rock landscaping around the fountain area. Took the old F250 to the gravel and rock place and got a ton loaded. That old truck handled it with ease. Monday, I'll go back for another ton. Today, after more shop work....still sorting router supplies...it's off to the hot air balloon festival around 15:00. They'll have FOOD TRUCKS!!! I'm drooling at the thought.

Forgot to mention that while Phyl was baking, I made a trip to the local VA clinic and picked up a walker with a seat. Just one more concession to my age, I guess.:( It'll come in handy at the balloon festival and, in those long aisles at the grocery stores, Wal-Mart etc.

UGA vs Tennessee, I will be watching it.

OSU vs Perdue, I will be checking on it.

Oh yeah, I may try and get some work done on that entertainment center also :D

I bid on a few auction goodies last night, if I was high bidder I will have to make a run into town some time this weekend to pick up my winnings...

Daughter is coming down today.  Her plans are to help on the E center and give me the finishing schedule.

Yeah, sort of. They are being made for the kids/grandkids, so I'm limited to what I can eat. Some of it is cakes and cheescakes, as well as cinnamon ro

You should know that, I imagine Patti is in the new kitchen making cookies (and other stuff) right now. Or, at least she will be soon.

Since she switched to the convection oven I have noticed a lot fewer samples for me. I know to get lost when I see 5# of butter & cream cheese sitting on the counter coming up to room temp:TwoThumbsUp:
