June 25, 20215 yr Popular Post Friday again folks! Going to be a wet weekend here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" but we need it. Helped a friend install meter box, and main breaker panel at his place "Three Weeks From Anywhere" earlier this week. Now waiting on inspection before we can continue. Not worried about passing the inspection, we don't know the meaning of the word "Overkill". Yesterday helped the nephew clear out the storage cell the BIL had, the Pilot towed my skid steer trailer with no problem. Now to get ready for a trip to the SIL's place around the 7th, or 8th of July. Will be hauling up some furniture that was the MIL's. ... So,... What's on your weekend agenda?

June 25, 20215 yr Popular Post Gee Larry sounds like you have a IL problem. Hope you get all that movin and haulin done soon. Working today for money. Gee that word does sound cool. Boss had a Mosin Nagant Carbine M44 with mounted bayonet for sale which I was happy to buy till I broke it down . Extreme pitting on top of barrel and I would never fire it. Looked up prices on parts and if you could sell them would be twice the price of the carbine, not going there. Hope to get back to that walnut tomorrow, see my post in woodturning.

No problem with the IL's, hauling up a couple pieces of French Provincial bedroom furniture that the SIL wanted from the MIL's estate. Actually looking forward to the trip to "Three Weeks From Anywhere".
June 25, 20215 yr Popular Post Got 36 pallets to break down. All 48X48s. Some are covered completely. Most have gaps between the slats.
June 25, 20215 yr Popular Post Working on a small turned box for my daughter. Will post pics of it when it's a little closer to complete. Stopped in at Houston Hardwoods and looked around. Plenty of hardwood available, I might buy some if I find Howard Hughes lost treasure or win the lottery. My father would have said it was higher than a cat's back. .40
June 25, 20215 yr Popular Post I’ll continue working on stock for two fall and winter shows. My Etsy store has exploded over the past 18 months and I’m hand to mouth trying to keep up. My Etsy store sales have already exceeded my 2020 total sales. Anyone need a job?

Thanks for the offer Ron, but, the commute would be a real bear.

June 27, 20215 yr Popular Post Got all the PVC installed and sealed up, then the faucet. Did a pressure test for 2 hours and all was well. Filled this leg of digging back up. Next is another 6 foot leg to get to the 70 ft trench that leads to shop. Will be nice to have water out by this building when I wash lawn equipment and use pressure washer.
June 27, 20215 yr Popular Post Well, my bride got her way! The 'Scrap Wall' is 99% done. And, it sure is ugly! Most of the pegboard, plywood, laminate flooring scraps have been utilized....in no cogent and, a totally nonconforming order. Now, it's almost time to clear the floor and start moving some tools and cabinets in. Maybe, some of that wall can be hidden. By tomorrow, maybe this afternoon, pallet deconstruction can begin.
