Good Friday Folks!

Still riding the roller coaster temperatures, and a bit frosty here this morning.

Not a whole lot going on shop wise.

So, What's on your Easter Weekend Agenda?

Was planning on getting my William and Mary table wrapped up...then found out Marie is having our daughter and here family over on Easter. It's the first family gathering here since last March and Marie is really looking forward to it. Anyway, that means as the house cook and cleaner I have quite a bit of stuff to get done for Sunday.  Progress was made this week on the table. The top and drawer are now finished. In the pic that's the drawer front you see, not an apron. The frame is glued together but need the internals drawer support and cleats to fasten the top. In a stroke of luck, I had to make a new foot (one I had turned was too short) and when I got it together it sits dead even on my assembly table.

On another NON wood working related project, MY NEW TOY a carniverous house plant with a possible feeding today if I can find a house spider to feed it.  They do work this one is just quite on the young side not fully grown.  When I fed it the other day they close quite quickly less than 20 seconds.  So this new toy should be fun to watch eat house flies during summer time.

Shop organization project continues.  Cut a 16x20 hole in the side of the building and hung a AC unit.  It's 8' off the floor and it was kind of tough to get the #70 appliance up in there.  Framed it in to lock it in place.

Nephew is coming Sunday.

May have to get one of those plants. Flies drive us NUTS during the spring and summer!

Looked at some land today with my son. Turned some mushrooms and put another coat of finish on the coffee cup shelf. More turning tomorrow.

repainting our Master bathroom, finishing a few camper signs for clients, and wrapping up a cutting board for a bridal shower gift. I'm hoping to find some time to finish turning some pepper grinders and start gluing up some hickory panels for end grain cutting boards. We need to get going on building things because our lumber supplier cleaned house and we bought their mess (roughly 1000 bf. of different species) for a great deal.

Fred, that table is gorgeous!  Your design or from prints?   I need to start a couple of flag cases today.  2021 has been a good year so far at my Etsy store.  It’s April and I’ve sold 6 flag cases.

Ditto! Those legs turned out great...pun intended. And, those leg spreader thingies are exceptional.

Ron, I found it in a PWW article and built it just to satisfy my craving to do a turned leg project. But the article was really sketchy on details, so it took some interpretation to get the needed details to build it. After I get it finished I may do a post on it's construction.
