Spent some time yesterday and built a fence for the router table. A 3' piece of shelving I pick up at the rehab store.

Cut a dado in the face and inserted a piece of cherry wood I had laying around, I didn't trust the particle board for the feather board.

 Drilled a 2" hole for the bits and put a dust collector on the back. Blue paint just hides a bad JB weld job.

Lined up the track and installed the cam clamps.

Still have to cut a slot in the table for my miter fence, waiting on parts there.

This should serve its purpose till I figure out what doesn't work for me.

  • I used 2x6 for my mobile TS stand . That way the cabinet fits lower into the stand and made it lighter. For my sanding and planer station I used angle as the connector between ends.

  • Have the uprights in place & the bottom glued and nailed.       Added supports to hold the plywood base for the table saw. I still need to add supports in the middle that will allow

  • This should be interesting Bob.  Please take us along the whole journey.  I need to do some downsizing myself.
