June 29, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Well, finally finished and shipped. Finished with Polycrylic and lined with felt from a local fabric and sewing store. The fabric was adhered by Gorilla hot glue sticks. Took one whole stick. A view from the end. And, the back view because a small portion of each drawer shows. That had to be sanded and finished as well. And, now a peak inside. These pictures reveal all my mistakes including my wandering bandsaw work. But, you get the idea and now it is up to you to make something. Edit: I forgot to tell you that the place on the top where the limb grew out and made bark, tried coming out during sanding. Before applying the finish, I would walk by the box and put in a couple drops of super glue gel. It built up and sanded rather well. Edited June 29, 20206 yr by FlGatorwood
July 1, 20206 yr Author Thank you, everyone. As you saw, this is made on a Shopsmith band saw. Like I said, I have 2. One is fitted with a 1/4" and the other is 1/2" blades. When I need to make a straight cut, I use the one with the 1/2" blade. Maximum height is 6.1" and the throat 11". Everyone can make these boxes if you have a band saw. Hope to see your pictures here soon.
