Read an article this morning about store employees getting abuse from customers that don't want to wear required masks.

The Menards in Kenosha requires the wearing of masks, and they are not fooling around.

They have armed security that will take down anyone that gives them any trouble.

Years ago I did security for a McDonalds.  4 punks tried to rob the place with air pistols.  They learned several lessons.

I think the Menard's face mask thing is chainwide. My S-I-L was complaining about it when he bought decking lumber, so I was prepared (I would have worn a mask anyway) when I visited.

It is for both the employees, and shoppers.

From what I've heard they have used the taser twice here so far, and the culprits were then arrested.

From what I heard the two that were tasered threw the first punches, and were therefore dealt with.

Only because we wouldn't want them to suffer unduly.  I have had thoughts of what the court system is going to be like when it is safe for them to go back at it.  I believe even the worst lawyers are going to be busy for a very long time.  I see needing more court houses to house extra judges to keep up with the lawsuits that arise from this pandemic let alone the backlog of current cases.  Many more will be released because they weren't afforded their right to a speedy trial.

Considering some rent-a-cops, it will be interesting to see how the whole situation escalated and how it's resolved.  Most of these "laws" are classified as misdemeanors and aren't worthy of this kind of physical force.  I read an article recently how many retailers aren't confronting customers at this level of aggression over this. 

 

Regardless, this sounds like a customer relations nightmare for any business!

The two were charged with assault, it was caught on camera.

Depending on political agendas and/or level of hysteria, ignored in some states. Hiding behind their declared state of emergency. If there are to be lawsuits, this appears to be fertile ground.

I don't have any of their stores near me, but if I did, I would never set a foot in there.

Ohio started out everyone wears a mask and then backed out and left it to each store to make their own policy.  Makes it tough to enforce.

here is the next steps in what ever it is I'm making... I have three different styles I'm chasing. 

  
This is what I do with all the pressed wood carvings I have collected over the years... Good to lay them around for ideas before I chew up too much wood.
